Manufacture of interior trim for a motor vehicle
A method of providing interior trim for a motor vehicle comprising forming a first interior trim article providing a first interior trim level, wherein the first article comprises a first article decorative covering overlying a first article cushion member and a first article substrate; and forming a second interior trim article having a base structure comprising the first interior trim article; wherein the second interior trim article provides a second interior trim level different from the first interior trim level; wherein the second interior trim article comprises a second article decorative covering and a second article cushion member overlying the base structure; wherein the first article decorative covering includes an elongated channel; wherein the second article decorative covering comprises a plurality of decorative covering segments joined at a joining seam; and wherein the joining seam is located in the elongated channel.
TRIM COMPONENT FOR VEHICLE INTERIOR
A trim component for vehicle interior is disclosed. A method for forming the trim component is also disclosed. The trim component comprises a cover material, a base layer, a foamed plastic, and a support element. The base layer is intended to prevent foamed plastic from penetrating into the pores of the cover material. Foamed plastic is injected between the base layer and the support element to form the trim component. The method comprises the steps of producing a base layer, applying and fixing at least part of the cover material to the base layer to form a pre-laminate, introducing the pre-laminate into a foaming mold with the base layer between the cover material and a foam chamber (between the pre-laminate and the support element) within a foaming mold and introducing foamed plastic into the foam chamber to form the trim component.
TRIM COMPONENT FOR VEHICLE INTERIOR
A method for producing a trim component for vehicle interior is disclosed. The method may produce multilayer molded bodies (e.g. interior compartments/fittings for vehicles) in which a reverse side of a leather material is backed with a plastic by injection molding. In order to prevent the leather material from being damaged by the injection pressures and/or temperatures during the in-mold injection molding process, the method provides for introducing untreated leather material into the injection mold.
Method for preparing leather for cases
The invention discloses a method for preparing leather for cases, which comprises: a. selecting cow leather, which comprises dermis layer and subcutaneous tissue layer; b. uniformly cutting the subcutaneous tissue layer as an lamellar layer, and holding it in the inner side of the cow leather; c. sculpturing the cut lamellar subcutaneous tissue layer as a desired embossed pattern, and removing its peripheral portion; d. placing the cow leather sculptured with embossed pattern in a three-dimensional mold, and pressing the embossed pattern portion towards the inner side of the dermis layer so that the raised pattern structure same with the embossed pattern is formed on the outer surface of the dermis layer; e. performing antiseptic treatment; f. performing rubber injection treatment; g. inlaying metal trim parts. With the above processing, the present invention can produce leather for cases with aesthetic style, good visual effect and noticeable feeling of touch.
Re-moldable holster
A holster for a firearm is disclosed. The holster includes a first layer, a second layer and a third layer sandwiched between the first layer and the second layer. The first layer is made of a first material and defines an outer surface of the holster. The second layer is made of a second material and defines an inner surface of the holster. The third layer is made of a thermoplastic composite material with fibers embedded in a thermoplastic resin. A heating of the holster between a predetermined temperature range softens the third layer to facilitate a molding of the holster.
