Laminate
A laminate, containing two or more polyolefin resin layers, wherein at least one polyolefin resin layer (A) contains a cellulose fiber including a cellulose fiber having a fiber length of 0.3 mm or more dispersed in the layer; a content of the cellulose fiber in the polyolefin resin layer (A) is 1% by mass or more and less than 60% by mass; and wherein a polyolefin resin layer (B) different from the polyolefin resin layer (A) is laminated in contact with the polyolefin resin layer (A).
BIAXIALLY ORIENTED PIPE
The invention relates to a biaxially oriented pipe made of a polymer composition comprising a propylene-based polymer, wherein the propylene-based polymer comprises a random copolymer of propylene and a comonomer which is ethylene and/or an a-olefin having 4 to 10 carbon atoms, wherein the propylene-based polymer has a comonomer content of 0.5 to 3.8 wt % based on the propylene-based polymer.
IMPROVED PIPE LINER AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
An improved pipe liner and associated methods, including a method of manufacturing the improved pipe liner and a method of lining a host pipe with such a pipe liner. The invention solves the problem of gas permeation through a polymer liner in hydrocarbon service which can result in corrosion of the host pipe and can also cause liner collapse. Corrosion occurs due to contact between corrosive species and the host pipe itself. Gases (307) can also accumulate in an annulus between or within the liner (305) and the host pipe (303) and expand during operational de-pressurisation of the pipeline, causing collapse of the liner. The improved pipe liner comprises a barrier layer (311), which prevents permeation through the liner, surrounding an inner polymer pipe (305A) and optionally covered by an outer polymer pipe (305B). The inner polymer pipe is porous which permits free movement of gas between the internal bore (302) of a lined pipe and the barrier layer, so as to prevent accumulation of gases anywhere in the lined pipe, while ensuring that gases do not permeate to, and damage, the host pipe. The liner can be inserted using Swagelining, roll-down, or any other suitable close-fit lining techniques, without compromising the effectiveness of the barrier layer.
Article with Visual Effect
Article having a body portion including one or more walls surrounding an interior space. The one or more walls have an inner surface, an outer surface, a wall thickness, a transparent portion, and one or more aesthetic regions having oblong voids provided between the inner surface and the outer surface within an outermost 70% of the wall, and the one or more aesthetic regions are provided in a predetermined pattern.
BIOINERT PIPING
A bioinert piping (1) that has a flow path (2) provided inside and a main body portion (10) between end portions (8, 8) includes a resin tube (4) that forms an inner wall of the flow path (2) over an entire length of the flow path (2), and a metal tube (6) that accommodates the resin tube (4) inside so as to cover the outer peripheral surface of the resin tube (4) over at least an entire length of the main body portion (10). The metal tube (6) is plastically deformed toward an inner side so that the outer peripheral surface of the resin tube (4) and an inner peripheral surface of the metal tube (6) are in liquid-tight contact with each other.
PIPE FORMING APPARATUS
According to the present invention, there is provided a pipe forming apparatus for forming a pipe at an installation site. The apparatus includes a former upon which material is wound, and a mold for receiving the former bearing the wound material. An applicator is provided for applying curable liquid within the mold. Advantageously, the pipe is formed at site to provide for efficient formation of a pipeline. A transported ISO container providing the material and curable liquid to the site can produce 800 metres of pipeline section, compared with 60 metres in the prior art, representing a significant increase in efficiency.
Method for manufacturing measurement pipeline portion of ultrasonic flow meter
A soft-melted parison is disposed in molds forming a shape of a measurement pipeline portion 10, the parison is expanded by means of gas inflow, and blow molding is performed. The shapes of a pipe body 11, a fluid inlet portion 12, and a fluid outlet portion 13 are formed by an inner mold of the molds. Ultrasonic wave input-output portions 14a and 14b bulging outwards in a sealed manner are formed on both sides positioned in the oblique direction of the pipe body 11 with respect to a center line of the pipe body 11. Parts of the ultrasonic wave input-output portions 14a and 14b are wall surfaces 15a and 15b for attaching ultrasonic wave transmission-reception units. The measurement pipeline portion 10 is obtained by cutting end portions of the fluid inlet portion 12 and the fluid outlet portion 13 after the parison is solidified.
Method of lining a pipeline with a delayed curing resin composition
A resin composition and method for installing a pipe liner that allows the liner to be fully wet out with a resin and activator and stored for a period of up to six months prior to installation and curing. A method of lining a pipe with a delayed curing resin composition is also provided that includes fully wetting out a liner with a blended two part epoxy composition such that the liner can be transported in a wet out fashion, placed in a pipe to be lined and repositioned as needed without concern for the resin composition to begin curing.
