CONNECTION METHOD FOR CHASSIS SEALING ELEMENTS
A method for connecting the joint of two ends of at least one chassis sealing element. In order to allow a secure and quick connection of the ends and allow an additional unhindered passage of air and moisture between hollow chambers within the chassis sealing element via the joint when using a profiled hollow chamber, the ends are first arranged at a distance to each other, and a shapeless bonding agent is applied to at least one end. The bonding agent is then heated, and the ends are brought into mutual contact, whereby the ends are bonded at the joint by way of the heated bonding agent.
WEATHERSTRIP MANUFACTURING METHOD
A weatherstrip manufacturing method is a method for manufacturing a weatherstrip which includes a trim portion where an insert is embedded. The insert includes short connecting portions that connect strips at substantially regular intervals, and a long connecting portion having a larger length than each length of the short connecting portions. The method includes an extrusion molding step for covering the insert with a polymer material, a cut-off portion forming step for cutting off a part of a long interval portion including the long connecting portion in the long interval portion where the long connecting portion is embedded to form a cut-off portion, and a cutting step for cutting the cut-off portion in a crossing direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction to divide the weatherstrip in the longitudinal direction.
COMPOSITE TRANSITION FITTING
A pipe fitting having a first body and a second body that together at least partially define a fluid flow passage. The first body defines a first portion of the fluid flow passage that extends from a first end of the fluid flow passage to a first internal opening. The second body defines a second portion of the fluid flow passage that extends from a second internal opening to a second end of the fluid flow passage. The first body has a first interface surface that surrounds the first internal opening, the first interface surface having a plurality of anti-rotation grooves. The second body has a second interface surface that surrounds the second internal opening and engages with the first interface surface. The first internal opening is in fluid communication with the second internal opening. The second interface surface has a plurality of anti-rotation fingers that are each received by and engage with a corresponding one of the anti-rotation grooves. Rotation of the second body relative to the first body is resisted by the engagement of the anti-rotation fingers with the anti-rotation grooves.
PRESSURE PLATE ARRANGEMENT, PRODUCTION ARRANGEMENT, DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A TRANSITION REGION BETWEEN AERODYNAMIC PROFILE ELEMENTS
In order to allow or improve a laminar air flow in a transition region between aerodynamic profile elements, a pressure plate arrangement is proposed. The pressure plate arrangement comprises a pressure plate body and at least one cover strip, in particular a sealing strip. The pressure plate body has an outlet region from which free-flowing sealant can exit during pressing. The cover strip already contains cured sealant and presses the free-flowing sealant flat in order to be able to form the transition region.
CARRIER WITH LOCALIZED FIBROUS INSERT AND METHODS
A structural reinforcement for an article including a carrier that includes: (i) a mass of polymeric material having an outer surface; and (is) at least one consolidated fibrous insert having an outer surface and including at least one elongated fiber arrangement having a plurality of ordered fibers arranged in a predetermined manner. The fibrous insert is envisioned to adjoin the mass of the polymeric material in a predetermined location for carrying a predetermined load that is subjected upon the predetermined location (thereby effectively providing localized reinforcement to that predetermined location). The fibrous insert and the mass of polymeric material are of compatible materials, structures or both, for allowing the fibrous insert to be at least partially joined to the mass of the polymeric material. Disposed upon at least a portion of the carrier will be a mass of activatable material.
SEAL MEMBER FORMING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method for forming a seal member onto a substrate from a material is disclosed. The system includes a mold comprising an ultraviolet transmissible material, the mold having a first portion and a second portion operatively coupled to the first portion, the first portion having a first cavity, a second cavity, and a channel extending from an outer surface of the mold to the second cavity. The first cavity has a first shape that is complementary to a first side of the substrate and the second cavity has a second shape that is complementary to the seal member. The system also includes an applicator in fluid communication with the channel, where the applicator is configured to provide the material to the second cavity through the channel, and an ultraviolet irradiation device configured to irradiate the mold with ultraviolet light to cure the material when the material is provided to the second cavity, such that the seal member is formed on the substrate.
Manufacturing method for metal cap
A metal cap in which a linear to be held to a cap body and separable from the cap body can be formed by a series of operations for forming the cap body and press molding the liner. The liner of the metal cap has a double-layer structure including a barrier layer on a top panel wall side and a sealing layer on the inner side of the cap body, and the barrier layer is temporarily bonded to the top panel wall with a weak adhesive at the time of molding the barrier layer and separated from the top panel wall by the natural cooling of the barrier layer after molding.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A PROFILED ELEMENT
A profile element is useful for sealing building-structure joints, especially for sealing against sound and smoke and optionally against fire. An apparatus is useful for manufacturing such profile element and to the use of the profile element manufactured according to the invention for the acoustic, smokeproof and/or fireproof sealing of connecting joints in drywalls, especially of expansion joints.
AUTOMATIC FORMING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR A RUBBER SEALING RING BLANK
The present invention relates to the field of forming technologies for rubber sealing ring blanks, and more particularly to an automatic forming method and device for a rubber sealing ring blank. A cutting blade is fixedly connected to the surface of a blank forming assembly; an equipment body II is fixedly connected to a sliding table die set; a supporting rod II is fixedly connected to the surface of the equipment body II; a blank box is fixedly connected to the inner side surface of the supporting rod II; and a blank spool is fixedly connected to the tail end of a long blank strip. The method and device disclosed by the present invention have the advantages that the automation degree is high, and the long blank strip conveyed from the blank spool passes through guide wheels and a guide groove and is automatically pressed into a ring through the combined action of the blank forming assembly and the cutting blade. According to this patent technology, feeding is performed by means of continuous introduction of the blank strip; and automatic formation of the blank ring is achieved through the action of an automation assembly. Except for a process of replacing the blank spool after the long blank strip of the blank spool is used up, the other processes are all completed by the machine, such that the automation rate is high.
SEALING SYSTEM FOR MOVABLE WINDOW OF VEHICULAR REAR WINDOW ASSEMBLY
A vehicular slider window assembly includes at least one fixed window panel having an opening, and upper and lower rails fixedly disposed at the at least one fixed window panel. A movable window panel is movable along the rails between a closed position and an opened position. A perimeter seal is disposed at a surface of the fixed window panel, with the perimeter seal providing a continuous sealing element that circumscribes the opening and that is configured to seal against a surface of the movable window panel when the movable window panel is closed. The perimeter seal includes elongated sealing portions having respective elongated sealing lips disposed along respective base portions. The perimeter seal is formed via a multi-shot injection molding process, with the base portions formed via a first shot injection molding process and the sealing lips formed along the base portions via a second shot injection molding process.
