Packaging system with an overcap
An overcap for a roast and ground coffee container is disclosed. The overcap can include a gasket as an airtight seal between the overcap and the container that preserves a clicking sound upon closure by an end user and an outer portion that gives an end user a visual and touchable stimulus.
HETEROATOM CONTAINING MODIFIED DIENE POLYMERS
Modified diene polymers containing heteroatoms are disclosed, as is their production, rubber mixtures comprising these modified diene rubbers, and to their use for the production of rubber vulcanizates, which serve, in particular, for the production of rubber moldings and the production of tires.
CAPS AND CLOSURES
This disclosure relates to caps and closures manufactured from an ethylene interpolymer product, or a blend containing an ethylene interpolymer product.
Method of making a bayonet sealing closure for containers and lids
A method for forming a container assembly having a lid, a container and a cooperative closure mechanism, includes providing a lid form and flexible members biased toward the lid form, wherein the lid form and the flexible members are operable between a forming position defined by the lid form exerting a biasing force against the flexible members, and an extraction position defined by the biasing force being substantially removed from the flexible members, creating a lid form cavity defined by the lid form and the flexible members disposed in the forming position, injecting a lid material throughout the lid form cavity to form a lid, disposing the lid form and the flexible members in the extraction position, wherein the lid form is moved distal from the lid and the flexible members are biased away from the lid to separate the lid from the flexible members.
Method for manufacturing a closure for a product-retaining container
A method for manufacturing a closure constructed for being inserted and securely retained in a portal-forming neck of a product-retaining container is provided. Such method may include intimately combining a plurality of particles comprising cork and having a specified particle size distribution with a plastic material including one or more thermoplastic polymers, optionally in combination with other constituent(s) to form a composition, heating the composition to form a melt, extruding or molding a closure precursor from the melt to provide a specified water content range, and optionally cutting and/or finishing the closure precursor. A composition for use in manufacturing a closure for a product-retaining container includes a plurality of particles comprising cork and having a specified particle size distribution with a plastic material including one or more thermoplastic polymer, optionally in combination with other constituent(s). Methods for producing particulate material, cork composite material, additional methods for producing closures, and resulting closures are also provided.
CAP FOR A CONTAINER
A method for making a cap for a container, comprising a step of forming in which the following are: a body, configured to be coupled and uncoupled relative to the neck of the container and including a side wall, which extends around a longitudinal axis, and a transverse wall; a tamper evident ring, configured to remain anchored to the neck of the container even when the body is uncoupled from the neck and including a joining portion where the tamper evident ring is joined to the body, the joining portion being configured to be torn along a full perimeter surrounding the longitudinal axis, wherein the cap comprises a connecting band having a first end connected to the side wall of the body and a second end connected to the retaining portion of the tamper evident ring.
POURER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR SAME
A pourer includes a pour spout, wherein the pour spout is configured to serve as a spout for a content liquid stored in a container main body, and is configured to be attached to a mouth part of the container main body, wherein the pour spout includes a surplus resin part provided on a part of a top surface of the pour spout through which the content liquid passes, and wherein the surplus resin part protrudes outwardly in the radial direction from an outer peripheral edge of the top surface of the pour spout.
INJECTION MOLD HAVING AN IN-MOLD LID CLOSING DEVICE
An injection mold for molding a flip-top closure having a body portion and a lid attached to the body portion by a living hinge has first and second mold portions for defining first and second portions of the flip-top closure respectively, a lid closing tool for closing the lid of the flip-top closure on the body portion after a molding of the flip-top closure in the injection mold and before an ejection of the flip-top closure from the injection mold, and first and second linear actuators operatively connected to the lid closing tool for moving the lid closing tool about first and second axes respectively. The first and second linear actuators are controllable to move the lid closing tool along a lid closing path for closing the lid. An in-mold lid closing device and a method for making a flip-top closure are also disclosed.
DISPENSING CLOSURE WITH SELF-CLOSING VALVE
A dispensing closure for a product container includes a plastic closure body having a top wall with a dispensing opening which is arranged in line with a dispensing passage of the container. The closure includes a self-closing valve embodied as a membrane made of a plastic foil. The membrane has a valve portion, which in use can assume an open position under influence of product pressure, and an attachment portion surrounding the valve portion. The attachment portion of the valve is sealed to an annular support surface integrally formed in the closure body along the periphery of the opening or being formed on a plastic annular insert part that is connected to the closure body along the periphery of the opening. The seal between the attachment portion and the support surface includes an annular groove and an inner annular seal zone adjoining the annular groove on a radial inner side.
Valve
A bi-injection moulded self-closing valve assembly is described. The assembly comprises a valve overmoulded on an insert. The overmoulded valve is injected using side gating of the mould.
