OIL HANDLING AND MONITORING DEVICE AND SYSTEM

An architecture is presented that provides an oil monitoring device designed primarily to monitor, measure, and display measurement parameters for a containment tank of fresh or waste oil. The monitoring device can be positioned on the containment tank of fresh or waste oil, or can be positioned proximate to the containment tank, as long as the monitoring device remains in communication with the containment tank. The monitoring device comprises a real-time level sensor that is in communication with the containment tank of cooking oil. The level sensor measures usage and collection volumes, as well as filtration status of the containment tank in real-time and displays the information to a user via a display. Furthermore, the monitoring device comprises alarms to alert users of specific oil levels. The monitoring device can either be a stand-alone device or be linked to a computer program to function as a data management system.

A food frying treatment apparatus includes: a frying oil circulation mechanism, which makes frying oil flow out from a frying oil tank on a downstream side and makes the frying oil flow in the frying oil tank on an upstream side by a frying oil inflow device, which ejects the frying oil in an upward direction from a bottom portion side of the frying oil tank; a frying food transport mechanism including a first transport mechanism, which transports the food fed into the frying oil tank on the upstream side in a floating state on a surface of the frying oil, and a second transport mechanism, which transports a frying food subsequently to the first transport mechanism in an immersed state below the surface of the frying oil in the frying oil tank; and a fried food collection mechanism, which collects a fried food from the frying oil tank.

The invention also relates to a cooking pot (4a, 4b, 4c, 4d) with heating means (3a, 3b, 3c) to supply heat to a food item (5a, 5b, 5c, 5d). The cooking pot (4a, 4b, 4c, 4d) has an electric connection unit (9a, 9b, 9c, 9d). The connection unit (9a, 9b, 9c, 9d) is arranged to be connected to either one of a plurality of 20 connection means (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d) of a control unit (1). The invention also relates to a corresponding method for cooking.

Fire protection mist nozzles for industrial oil cookers, oil cookers with fire protection systems, and method of oil cooker fire protection are provided. The mist nozzles operate at pressures between 170 and 250 psi, and provide a unique distribution pattern that allows for variable installations for protection in certain operative environments including oil cookers with various hood configurations. The fire protection nozzles includes a base defining an inlet and an outlet along an axis. The base includes an orifice having an inlet diameter and an outlet diameter. The outlet diameter is preferably greater than the inlet diameter; and the orifice defines a K-factor of less than 1.0 gpm/psi½. The nozzle includes a diffuser aligned with the orifice. The diffuser has a preferably substantially domed portion with a maximum diameter that is less than the summation of the inlet diameter and the outlet diameter of the orifice.

A waste cooking grease collection and disposal apparatus includes a flexible heat-resistant non-conductive polymeric housing devised to withstand introduction of very hot cooking grease poured therein. The housing includes a base bounded topside by a perimetric wall to enclose an interior volume. Grease collected into the interior volume is transportable thereby to cool within a conditioned space, such as inside a refrigerator, for example. Once the grease is cooled, a block of solidified grease is readily removable from the apparatus by manual deformation of the housing. Since the housing comprises known dimensions, blocks of solidified grease of known dimensions are producible for disposal or reuse, as desired.
