FAN STRUCTURE
A fan structure includes a fan frame having a base and a shaft barren vertically upward extended from the base; a motor stator enclosure having a top provided with a shaft hole and an open bottom correspondingly covering and connecting to a top of the base, such that the motor stator enclosure, the shaft barrel and the base together define a potting space among them; a potting opening selectively provided on the base or the motor stator enclosure to communicate with the potting space; a motor stator externally fitted around the shaft barrel and located in the potting space; and a potting compound filled in the potting space to cover the motor stator. With the above arrangements, the fan structure overcomes the problem in conventional inconvenient fan potting process to largely reduce production costs, production time, bad yield rate, and reworking.
CREATION OF INJECTION MOLDS VIA ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
Methods of manufacturing an injection mold component are provided. The methods include printing a plurality of layers of a material into a near net shape mold of the injection mold component. The printing includes forming each layer in the plurality of layers upon another layer in the plurality of layers such that a volumetric part cavity is positioned between the plurality of layers. The volumetric part cavity corresponds to a coarse model of at least a portion of an injection moldable part. The method further includes removing material from the plurality of layers, whereby the volumetric part cavity expands to correspond to a precise model of the at least a portion of the injection moldable part and to form the injection mold component.

ROBOTIC MANIPULATOR
A method of manufacturing a robotic manipulator including determining desired manipulator properties including a manipulator shape and manipulator jamming properties; using the manipulator jamming properties and a packing computational model to determine a packing element configuration, the packing computational model defining relationships between manipulator jamming properties and different packing element configurations; controlling an additive printing machine based on the packing element configuration and manipulator shape to manufacture the robot manipulator. The robot manipulator includes a flexible outer skin defining a chamber; a connector attached to the outer skin and connected to a fluid pump to allow fluid to be added to or removed from the chamber; filling elements disposed in the chamber according to the packing element configuration.
SMALL-FRACTION NANOPARTICLE RESIN FOR ELECTRIC MACHINE INSULATION SYSTEMS
An insulation system of a current-carrying conductor of an electric machine. The insulation system comprises a thermally curable resin including a polymer resin matrix and a nanoparticulate filler. A mica paper or mica tape is impregnated with the thermally curable resin. The thermally curable resin comprises nanoparticulate filler, the total quantity of nanoparticulate filler being at least 0.1 wt % and not more than 0.5 wt %.
CHAIN CONTROL DEVICE WITH ELASTOMER FACE OVERMOULDED USING TWO-SHOT INJECTION MOULDING
A method of forming a tensioner arm bracket, chain guide, snubber or tensioner arm with two shot injection molding. The tensioner arm bracket, chain guide, snubber or tensioner arm each having a body and a chain sliding face. The body of the tensioner arm bracket, chain guide, snubber or tensioner arm bracket is formed of by a first shot of thermoplastic polymer or thermosetting resin and the chain sliding face is formed by a second shot of thermoset elastomer which is overmoulded onto the body. The body of the component is made of either a thermoplastic or thermosetting resin is fixed to its chain sliding face either by one or more of an anchor point generated by undercuts in the body and/or chemical bonds between the dissimilar materials.
Injection Molding a Modulator Support Cage
A Magnetic Gear Modulator (MGM) of a Concentric Magnetic Gear (CMG) is manufactured by injection molding a modulator cage over angularly spaced apart MGM pole pieces made of a magnetically conducting material. The pole pieces are initially connected by a support ring, or held by a fixture. The modulator cage is preferably a thermally conductive strengthening fiber filled plastic, a carbon fiber plastic, a carbon fiber filled plastic material, a glass material, or a high performance composite plastic molding material. After molding, the outer and/or inner portions of the molding material, and support ring if present, are machined away preferably exposing both inner and outer faces of the pole pieces embedded in the modulator cage. An MGM made using injection molding over a connected support ring and pole pieces reduces cost, and a carbon fiber plastic modulator cage increases strength.
BUFFER STOPPER
The buffer stopper has a base and an elastic body. The base has a columnar shape having a through hole in a center thereof and having recesses at both ends (virtual surfaces including an end surface of a straight part) thereof, and is formed of a material such as a metal or resin, which is harder than a rubber-like elastic material used as a material for the elastic body. The elastic body is an integrally-molded product made of a rubber-like elastic material. The elastic body includes a pair of end elastic bodies fitted into the recesses of the base and protruding from both ends of the base and connects the pair of end elastic bodies by a central elastic body fitted into the through hole.
