Intravascular inflatable medical devices and their methods of manufacture and use. The inflatable medical devices may include a conduit that includes an inflatable wall, with the inflatable wall defining a lumen therein. The inflatable wall may include an outer layer and an inner layer, and optionally an intermediate layer between the inner and layers. Intermediate layers may include one or more couplings between the outer and inner layers, and may include radial connectors extending between the outer layer and the inner layer.
Support member for cushion of respiratory interface device
A support member for use in a sealing assembly of a patient interface device for delivering a flow of a breathing gas to the airway of a patient. The support member includes: a first end structured to be coupled to a frame member of the patent interface device; a second end structured to sealingly engage the face of a patient or to underlie a sealing flap which is structured to sealingly engage the face of a patient; and a sidewall which extends between the first end and the second end. The sidewall is formed from a plurality of beads of material.
PRECISION PHARMACEUTICAL 3D PRINTING DEVICE
Provided herein are devices and systems for depositing a material or manufacturing a product, such as a pharmaceutical dosage form, by additive manufacturing. Further provided are methods of using the devices and systems, as well as methods of manufacturing a product, such as a pharmaceutical dosage form, by additive manufacturing. In certain embodiments, the device includes a material supply system configured to melt an pressurized a material, a pressure sensor configured to detect a pressure of the material within the device, and a control switch comprising a sealing needle operable in an open position and closed position. The sealing needle extends through a feed channel containing the material and includes a taper end, wherein the tapered end of the sealing needle engages a tapered inner surface of a nozzle to inhibit flow of the material through the nozzle when the sealing needle is in the closed position.
SYSTEMS FOR FABRICATING ORTHODONTIC APPLIANCES WITH POWER ARMS
Systems for fabricating dental appliances are provided. In some embodiments, a system comprising one or more processors, and a memory operably coupled to the one or more processors and storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to determine an appliance geometry for a dental appliance including a shell configured to move the patient's teeth from an initial arrangement toward a target arrangement. The appliance geometry can include a first power arm having a first connection point for connecting to the shell, a second power arm having a second connection point for connecting to the shell or to a tooth, an elongate connecting structure coupled to the first and second power arms, and an elongate counter-force connector coupled to the first power arm and extending toward the second power arm.
FLUIDIC ACTUATOR MANUFACTURING METHOD
A method of constructing an inflatable fluidic actuator. The method includes coupling a first interface to a tube configuration of membrane material at a first tube end by coupling the first interface to the tube configuration at the first tube end by generating at least one of: a first bond between the membrane material and one or more first sidewalls of the first interface and a first external face bond between membrane material at the first tube end onto a first external face of the first interface.
Interdental cleaning tool production method
An interdental cleaning tool producing method that enables cost reduction is provided. An interdental cleaning tool producing method according to the present invention includes; a first step of preparing a mold provided with at least one first cavity for molding a cleaning tool main body including two supporting pieces that are arranged with a predetermined interval and a handle portion that couples the two supporting pieces and can be held in a hand, the mold being configured such that at least one thread member to span between the two supporting pieces can be arranged in the mold; a second step of arranging the thread member in the mold; a third step of filling the first cavity with a resin material via a gate provided in the mold using a hot runner method; and a fourth step of removing the thread member and the cleaning tool main body fixed to the thread member from the mold.
Surgical implant and methods of additive manufacturing
A method of manufacturing a surgical implant includes simultaneously forming a first component and a second component of the surgical implant. Formation of the first and second components includes depositing a first quantity of material to a building platform and fusing the first quantity of material to form a first layer of the first and second components. The method of manufacturing also includes depositing a second quantity of material over the first layer of the first and second components and fusing the second quantity of material to form a second layer of the first and second components. The surgical implant is fully assembled upon the completion of the formation of the first and second components.
Segmented ring electrode
One aspect is a process for producing a segmented electrode, including providing a pipe made of metal having an outer side and an inner side, wherein the inner side of the pipe forms a hollow space. A support structure is arranged in the hollow space, so that the support structure mechanically stabilizes the pipe. Intermediate spaces are formed in the pipe, which define a plurality of segments in the pipe. An electrically insulating material is introduced into the intermediate spaces and thus forming electrically insulating areas, wherein a boundary layer is in each case defined between the segments and the areas. The pipe is cut so that several segmented ring-shaped electrodes are formed therefrom. The support structure is removed from the pipe.
METHOD FOR RECYCLING FILTERING FACEPIECE RESPIRATORS
The invention relates to a method for recycling respiratory protection masks comprising a plurality of layers manufactured from a single thermoplastic polymer chosen from polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polylactic acid, homopolymers and copolymers of polyamide 6 (PA6) and long-chain polyamides such as PA11 or PA12, and comprising a filtration layer made of polyvinylidene fluoride.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN OBJECT, IN PARTICULAR AN ORTHODONTIC APPLIANCE, BY A 3D-PRINTING DEVICE
A method for manufacturing an object, in particular an orthodontic appliance, by a 3D-printing device comprising a supply device for provision of a non-solidified material and means for illumination to solidify a layer of non-solidified material provided by the supply device at least zonally to fabricate the object, characterized by the following steps: a virtual model of the object to be printed is provided for the 3D-printing device, the supply device provides a layer of the non-solidified material, the means for illumination solidify the layer at least zonally, whereby the means for illumination comprises illumination pixels arranged in a grid, preferably with a dimension (between 10 μm and 80 μm, particularly preferred between 30 μm and 50 μm, wherein at least one dimension of the object represented by the virtual model is chosen to be aligned with the dimension of the illumination pixels.
