Thermo-compression bonding tool with high temperature elastic element
A thermo-compression bonding tool with a high temperature elastic element, and methods of bonding a metal sheet to a substrate using a thermo-compression bonding tool are described. In an example, a system for bonding a metal sheet to a substrate includes a stage to support the substrate and an elastic roller located above the stage. The elastic roller includes a high temperature material. The system also includes a heated backing plate located above the elastic roller. The backing plate is configured to apply pressure and heat to the elastic roller as the elastic roller rolls across a metal sheet disposed above the substrate.
Roller for Use in a Dry Coating Process for Producing Electrodes
The invention relates to a roller (1) for use in a dry coating process to produce electrodes, comprising: a roller core (3) consisting of a core material; a roller shell (4) consisting of a shell material, the roller shell surrounding the roller core at least in sections; the shell material having a greater hardness than the core material; and the roller core including a device for tempering the roller shell.
ROLLING DEVICE FOR ELECTRODE SHEET
A rolling device is a rolling device that is arranged on a conveyance path on which an electrode sheet of an electricity storage device is conveyed and includes a pair of rolling rolls. Each of the rolling rolls includes a base material, a ground layer formed at least on a rolling area of an outer peripheral surface of the base material that rolls the electrode sheet, and a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating film formed on an outer peripheral surface of the ground layer. The ground layer is harder than the base material.
Hand Roller
A hand roller (100) for application of pressure to a surface. The hand roller comprises a handle (102) rigidly secured to a roller frame (104). A roller cylinder (106) is rotatably secured to the roller frame (104). The roller frame (104) features an upper pressure surface (120) having an ergonomic shape to facilitate the application of enhanced pressure on the roller cylinder (106).
Method for manufacturing a roll for hot or cold rolling of flat metal products
A method for manufacturing a roll for rolling flat metal products having a barrel section coated with a wear-resistant layer and journals formed thereon, and a main body blank which includes a barrel section and two blank journal sections The barrel section is encased with a jacket which is connected, with its edge regions associated with the blank journal sections, in a sealed manner, to the associated end faces of the blank journal sections, and limits a cavity surrounding the barrel section. The cavity is filled with an alloy powder. The wear-resistant layer coating of the barrel section, which forms a substance-to-substance bond with said barrel section, is then formed from said alloy powder through hot isostatic pressing. The jacket is then removed from the barrel section, the blank journal sections are formed into the journals and the barrel section and the journals are finished.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FLEXIBLE DISPLAY APPARATUS
Provided is a method of manufacturing a flexible display apparatus. The method includes: arranging a film over a window having a three-dimensional curved surface shape, the film being flexible; arranging a plurality of pressure balls over the film; and pressing the plurality of pressure balls towards the window by using a pressure plate such that the film is closely adhered onto the window according to the three-dimensional curved surface shape of the window.
Device and method for joining rubber members
When overlapping and joining together end portions of a rubber member, it becomes possible to join them at a joining area smaller than a conventional one by increasing the joining area. There is provided a joining device for overlapping end portions, of a rubber member (tire constituent member) with one upper end portion placing on the other lower end portion and joining the end portions of the rubber member, in which a pressing roll (disk-shaped roll) rotating about an inclined shaft is rolled while being pressed against the overlapped upper end portion of the rubber member, and the upper end portion is extended by a shearing force generated at this time to increase a joining area between the both end portions.

Apparatus for compacting fibrous plant material, especially for compacting stalk material
An apparatus for pelletizing renewable raw materials, such as stalk material, having a feeding device for feeding the materials to be pelletized and having at least one press drum pair that is settable into opposite rotational movements, wherein the feeding device has a drivable conveyor belt which conveys the material to be compressed into the region of a feed hopper between the press drum pair, and which wraps around one of the two press drums regionally over an angle of at least 20 in order to form a precompaction region, and wherein the precompaction region has a constant width with respect to its length, said width corresponding more or less to the width of the press drums.
Method for deforming a web
Methods for forming discrete deformations in web materials are disclosed. In some embodiments, the method involves feeding a web into an apparatus having nips that are formed between intermeshing rolls. The apparatus may be in the form of nested or other arrangements of multiple rolls, in which the web is maintained in substantial contact with at least one of the rolls throughout the process, and at least two of the rolls define two or more nips thereon with other rolls. In some embodiments, rolls can be used to expose a different side of the web for a subsequent deformation step. In these or other embodiments, the rolls can be used to transfer the web between rolls in such a manner that it may offset the rolls and/or web so that subsequent deformations are formed at a different cross-machine direction location than prior deformations.
