Rotary press
A rotary press comprises a press frame and a rotor arranged thereon. The rotor has a die plate, an upper punch receiver receiving upper punches, a lower punch receiver receiving lower punches, an upper cam that guides the upper punches, and a lower cam that guides the lower punches. A rotor drive can drive the rotor rotationally. Within at least one dosing station, material is filled into receivers of the die plate for pressing. An upper pressing station has an upper pressing roller and a lower pressing station has a lower pressing roller. Coupling means couples at least one drive that operates the rotary press to the rotor such that, with movement of the at least one drive, the rotor is raised out of its operating position and into a removal position where the rotor can be removed out of the press frame in a lateral direction.
INTERSECTING DIE LIFTING SYSTEM
A pneumatic die transfer system for a press machine comprises at least two primary roller rails and at least two secondary roller rails set in respective T-slots in a bolster. The primary roller rails are perpendicular to the secondary roller rails. Airbags below each roller rail are selectively inflated to elevate either the primary or the secondary roller rails above the bolster face. The secondary roller rails each have a plurality of discontinuities configured to receive the primary roller rails and their associated airbags in an intersecting fashion. As a result, the bolster can be easily fabricated with intersecting T-slots and relatively few roller rails are needed to achieve fully orthogonal conveyance of a heavy die over the face of a bolster.
Securement device for a press tool
A securement device for a press tool including an angular exterior body having a side wall. A multitude of ratcheting bodies are located around a top edge of the exterior body. The ratchets include a ratchet bar. The ratchet bar has a plurality of ratchet grooves that allow the ratchet bars to be slide inward toward the interior of the exterior body and to be locked into place. An interior body is located within the exterior body such that it can be moved about and provide extra support for the ratchets.

Press die and method for producing a roof tile
A press die for producing a clay roof tile, including a first die half and a second die half, which can move between a pressing position, in which they define a receiving space that represents the form of the finished roof tile, and a filling position, in which they are mutually spaced and the receiving space can be filled with a plastically deformable clay material. At least one of the first and the second die half has at least one depression which represents a projecting part of the finished roof tile; a first compression element is provided at the depression, and movable between an initial position, in which it is retracted in relation to the form of the finished roof tile, and a compacting position, in which some sections of the first compression element represent the surface of the finished roof tile.
Forging machine with robotic handler
A progressive cold forming machine and a robot for automatically changing a cutoff cassette, tooling cassettes, a transfer slide and transfer cam. A loading area adjacent the machine and robot has provisions for supporting a tooling cassette pallet and a transfer slide and camshaft pallet and a holding area for temporarily receiving some of the componentry being exchanged.
Press for working during primary processing time
A press comprising: at least one press ram by means of which a press stroke can be carried out when the press is actuated; at least one first working station and a second working station, wherein the first and the second working station each has a tool lower part and a tool upper part, wherein a first forming stage is formed by means of the tool lower part and the tool upper part of the first working station, and a second forming stage is formed by means of the tool lower part and the tool upper part of the second working station; and a mechanical element for transmitting the press stroke to one of the first or second forming stages, wherein the press stroke can be transmitted to the first and the second forming stages independently from one another.
MOULD, METHOD FOR PRODUCING A GREEN COMPACT AND USE OF THE MOULD
A mold for producing a green compact using powder metallurgy processes has an upper punch and a lower punch which are movable along a common press axis and a die body with a charging chute for receiving powder material. The die body has an upper region in which the upper punch is movably guided along the press axis in the charging chute, and a lower region in which the lower punch is movably guided along the press axis in the charging chute. Two cross slides realize a forming region which determines the lateral outside contour of the green compact, and are arranged on the die body so as to be displaceable in a direction which deviates from the press axis. The two cross slides only move into contact with one another when the two cross slides are arranged in their respective end position.
Manufacturing a hard-metal pressed article
Manufacturing a hard-metal pressed article includes providing a multi-part die, feeding at least one frontal mold part, feeding at least one transverse mold and locking the at least one frontal mold part and the at least one transverse mold part to define a cavity for the article. Feed directions of the at least one frontal mold part and the at least one transverse mold part are inclined. The at least one frontal mold part and the at least one transverse mold part define surfaces of the article. The resulting cavity includes at least one opening through which a punch is insertable. Next, a filling shoe is fed above an opening of the cavity and fills the cavity with a powder, and the powder is compressed with at least one punch. The feeding of the transverse mold part takes place along a feed direction that is parallel to the main pressing direction.
Embossed sheet and method of making and using same
A embossed sheet embossed with projections creating an intermittent support surface for food. The embossed sheet may be inserted into a food package after cooking the food on which the cooked food is to be supported. Alternatively, the embossed sheet may be placed onto or into a pan or directly onto an oven rack to support the food while cooking and/or after cooking. Alternatively, the embossed sheet may be formed into a food package. The embossed sheet may be prepared using a one-pass or two pass process using a platen press or a roll-to-roll press or a multi-stage one pass machine.
