A second length of the stock packaging material suitable for enclosing the second object is identified. The method continues by creating, with the bag making machine, a second bag from the stock packaging material having approximately the second length, followed by substantially enclosing the second object in the second bag.

An apparatus for simultaneously separating a portion of a continuous web of film, having a leading edge and a plurality of spaced apart side seals, includes a base, a plurality of blade pairs, and a film guide device. The blade pairs are moveable between an open and closed positions and are mounted to the base and spaced apart a distance corresponding to the side seals in the film. The film guide device includes a guide member that releasable attaches to a portion of the film adjacent the leading edge. The guide members suspends the film between the plurality of blade pairs in the open position to align the plurality of seals on the film with the plurality of spaced apart blade pairs to accurate separate the film into a plurality of pouches upon movement of the blade pairs to the closed position.

An apparatus for supplying spout attachment bags including a first transfer device for transferring a spout attachment bag in a horizontal orientation, a positioning device for receiving and horizontally positioning the spout attachment bag transferred from the first transfer device, a second transfer device for transferring upward the spout attachment bag positioned by the positioning device and changing the spout attachment bag from the horizontal orientation to a vertical orientation so that the spout attachment opening faces upward and is horizontal, and a detection device. The position of the spout attachment opening on the positioning device is detected by the detection device and is compared to a preset reference position, so that any amount of deviation between the two positions is corrected, thus keeping the height positions of the spout attachment openings of the spout attachment bags changed to a vertical orientation steady.
PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING BAGS FOR PACKAGING ITEMS, AND BAG PRODUCED THEREFROM
A process is for manufacturing bags and a bag forming web. A bag is produced therefrom. The process includes conveying a continuous printed web including printed features along a conveying direction. The continuous printed web is cut into printed web sections along the conveying direction, and at least two of the printed web sections include(s) portion(s) of the printed features. The printed web sections are spaced-apart and a second continuous web is inserted between adjacent ones of the spaced-apart printed web sections, while an alignment between the printed web sections including printed features is maintained one relative to the other, along the conveying direction. The second continuous web is secured to the adjacent and spaced-apart printed web sections along longitudinal adjacent edges, thus forming a combined continuous bag forming web. Bags are formed from the combined continuous bag forming web, and the features on the different printed sections of the bags are in alignment.
Method and apparatus for pouch making
A method and apparatus for making bags or pouches is disclosed. It includes a track, at least two sleds that move on the track, and operating stations mounted on the sleds. The film moves along the track, and the sleds move with the film while performing operations on the film. The system can have the sleds stationary while operating for an intermittent machine, and move to reconfigure when the film is moving. The operating stations include one or more of a sealer, a heater, a cooler, an inserter, a knife, a punch, a perforator, a static charger, and a printer. The track forms a continuous path or is linear. A controller controls the sleds and operating stations. The controller includes an operating time and/or a reconfiguration module. The operating time module is responsive to a user set material thickness or a sensed material thickness.

A method and apparatus for making bags or pouches is disclosed. It includes a track, at least two sleds that move on the track, and operating stations mounted on the sleds. The film moves along the track, and the sleds move with the film while performing operations on the film. Uninterrupted bag making machine
An uninterrupted bag making machine includes a conveyance unit, a conveyance unit driving means, a sealing unit having sealing assemblies, a sealing unit driving means, a perforating unit having a cutting device, a perforating unit, a perforating unit driving means, a breaking unit, and a control unit. With the conveyance unit, a film tube is conveyed to pass through the sealing unit, the perforating unit, and the breaking unit. Furthermore, with the control unit in cooperation with various driving means, the sealing assemblies can be moved in the direction of the film tube being moved, and the cutting device of the perforating unit is rotated in synchronous with the film tube being moved. As such, the film tube can be processed with sealing operations, perforating operations, and breaking operations at predetermined locations along the film tube without an interruption, so that the production rate and capacity can be increased.

The method serves for producing flexible packaging products, more particularly packaging bags, the packaging products being formed by welding together two film layers. In order to avoid imprecisions in the sequence of process steps, film sections (4) formed of film layers are separated from a film web (7a; 7b) and transferred to a transport device (1) where they are positively fixed at least at one edge by means of a fixing device (3). Then the film sections (4) are transported by means of the transport device (1) in a transport direction (5) to at least one welding station (12) while maintaining the positive fit, the film layers are welded together in the latter, and the film sections (4) are subsequently further transported while maintaining the positive fit.
