This disclosure is directed toward a collapsible heat and/or fire shield (referred to herein as a “collapsible shield”). In some examples, the collapsible shield may protect a user from heat, fire, and/or sparks when the user engages in activities (e.g., roasting food, moving wood/coals, etc.) proximate a fire. In some examples, the collapsible shield may include a rod which may include a handle on one end, and one or more prongs on a second end. A user may utilize the handle to maneuver the rod about a fire. Further, a canopy may encircle the rod between the handle and the prongs. The canopy may be configured to expand into a dome-shaped barrier, and collapse so that the canopy lay substantially flat, proximate the rod.

A food grilling rack provides a frame defined by a plurality of connected side walls forming a closed geometric shape. The frame includes a lower corrugated sheet that provides multiple troughs, each trough having a lowest portion. The lower sheet is attached to at least some of the side walls. An upper sheet of material is supported (e.g., removably) above the sheet of corrugated material. A sheet with openings slides into the frame aligning the openings with the lowest part of the trough. A food stuffing apparatus provides a receptacle having an interior, an upper end portion with a larger opening and a lower end portion with a smaller opening, and a tapering portion in between the upper and lower end portions.

Foods are generally closely wrapped in vented, pliable, formidable outer skins. An example construction of such an outer skin is provided, as are examples of food preparation processes.

The present invention is an apparatus for cooking bacon and the like inside microwave ovens. The apparatus includes a pan, a cover, and at least one support. The apparatus may also include a grease vessel. The apparatus may be placed in an open position and a closed position. In a non-limiting embodiment, the apparatus includes a pan, a cover or lid, and four supports. Preferably, the pan includes a snout and at least one handle. In another non-limiting embodiment, the apparatus includes a pan, a cover or lid, and two supports. Preferably, the pan includes a snout and at least one handle. During use, at least one of the supports is positioned and secured within the pan; the bacon and the like is positioned upon the supports; and the pan and cover or lid are positioned in a closed position with one another.

A portable roasting tool is configured to hold a quantity of sausages or other food items over a campfire or similar fire. The tool has a hollow tubular main handle with an extendible rod that slides out from it and has a meat holder, at its distal end. A swing-down articulated support leg pivots so it can clamp to the handle for travel or storage, and open down to ground to support the tool at its middle. A rotary bearing at allows the main handle and fork to be turned by hand to rotate the meat holder. The tool can be angled up or down to position the meat relative to the campfire or coals.

A portable roasting tool is configured to hold a quantity of sausages or other food items over a campfire or similar fire. The tool has a hollow tubular main handle with an extendible rod that slides out from it and has a meat holder, at its distal end. A swing-down articulated support leg pivots so it can clamp to the handle for travel or storage, and open down to ground to support the tool at its middle. A rotary bearing at allows the main handle and fork to be turned by hand to rotate the meat holder. The tool can be angled up or down to position the meat relative to the campfire or coals.

A tool for use with food items; the tool includes a rod and a removable, disposable skewer. The skewer is removably inserted into a skewer-holder-end of the rod and held in place therein. The skewer is then used for holding a food item and roasting or cooking it over a heat source. Preferably, the tool is used for holding a food item such as a marshmallow and roasting it over a campfire.

A cooking rack according to an example of the present disclosure includes, among other possible things, a top grate extending between a first end portion and a second end portion, a base extending between a first end portion and a second end portion, the base spaced apart from the top grate, a first support supporting the first end portion of the top grate with respect to the first end portion of the base, a second support supporting the second end portion of the top grate with respect to the second end portion of the base, and first and second rails situated between the top grate and the base. A method of cooking and another example cooking rack are also disclosed.
