The present disclosure relates to a high-strength hot-dip galvanized steel sheet having excellent surface quality and electrical resistance spot weldability, and a method for manufacturing the same. A galvanized steel sheet according to an aspect of the present disclosure is a galvanized steel sheet including a base steel sheet and a zinc-based plating layer formed on a surface of the base steel sheet, wherein a ratio (a/b) of a hardness of a surface layer portion (a) to a hardness of an internal portion (b) of the base steel sheet may be less than 0.95.
HOT STAMPED COMPONENT
A hot stamped component, includes: a base material; and a Zn-based plating layer provided in contact with the base material as a layer above the base material and containing Zn. A base material side of the Zn-based plating layer is a Fe—Zn solid solution, and two or more twins exist in 10 crystal grains of the Fe—Zn solid solution adjacent to an interface between the base material and the Zn-based plating layer.
Welding wires formed from improved aluminum-magnesium alloys
Aluminum-magnesium alloys useful as welding wire and mechanical support are disclosed. The aluminum-magnesium alloys exhibit improved cold wire drawing performance. Grain refiners and methods of forming the aluminum-magnesium alloys are further disclosed.
HOT PRESS-FORMED PART, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure provides a hot-press formed part comprising a plated steel sheet and an aluminum alloy plated layer formed on the plated steel sheet, wherein the aluminum alloy plated layer comprises: an alloying layer (I) formed on the plated steel sheet and containing, by weight %, 5-30% of Al; an alloying layer (II) formed on the alloying layer (I) and containing, by weight %, 30 to 60% of Al; an alloying layer (III) formed on the alloying layer (II) and containing, by weight %, 20-50% of Al and 5-20% of Si; and an alloying layer (IV) formed continuously or discontinuously on at least a part of the surface of the alloying layer (III), and containing 30-60% of Al, wherein the rate of the alloying layer (III) exposed on the outermost surface of the aluminum alloy plated layer is 10% or more.
Methods of producing continuously cast hot rolled high strength steel sheet products
Methods of producing high strength continuously cast hot rolled steel sheet products are disclosed. The methods include continuously casting a steel slab and then hot rolling with finish rolling on a hot strip mill, quenching on the hot strip mill to form a predominantly matrensitic microstructure, and performing a thermal cycling step including soaking at an intercritical temperature followed by holding at a lower temperature. The resultant hot rolled steel sheet products have a microstructure comprising ferrite and retained austenite. Steels processed in accordance with the present invention exhibit favorable combined ultimate tensile strength and total elongation (UTS.Math.TE) properties, and may fall into the category of Generation 3 advanced high strength steels, desirable in various industries including automobile manufacturers.
Cold-rolled flat steel product for packaging materials
A cold-rolled flat steel product for packaging materials has a thickness of less than 0.6 mm, which has been cold-rolled from steel along a rolling direction (0°) and which has an excellent isotropy with respect to its mechanical properties.
LAMINATE INCLUDING ALUMINUM SHEETS
A laminate structure and method of forming is provided. The laminate structure includes a first metal sheet having a first thickness, a second metal sheet having a second thickness, and an adhesive core having an adhesive thickness. The adhesive core is disposed between and bonded to the first and second metal sheets. The first and second metal sheets are made of an aluminum based material and the adhesive core is made of an adhesive material also described as a viscoelastic adhesive material. The laminate structure is configured such that a ratio of the sum of the first and second thickness to the adhesive thickness is greater than either to one (8:1). The laminate structure including the viscoelastic adhesive core is characterized by a composite loss factor at 1,000 Hertz which is continuously greater than 0.1 within a temperature range of 25 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius.
