Food portioning system
A food portioning system to more accurately and/or quickly portion food served from a food container includes a support for a container and a bracket coupled with the support. The bracket includes a scrape bar positioned above the support to level food within a serving implement. The scrape bar can also be used as a handle to carry, insert, or remove the food container from a steam table. The scrape bar can be adjustable relative to the support to position the scrape bar at varying heights. Such food portioning systems can be used to support a food container within a food well or on a countertop.

A pot gripper comprises a first lever and a second lever joined at a fulcrum. The first lever has a first jaw extending from the fulcrum and the second lever has a second jaw extending from the fulcrum. The first jaw and the second jaw define a clamping area for a pot when the first lever and the second lever are rotated from an open position into a closed position. The first jaw has at least one support slot, the support slot being shaped to fit to the contour of a gripping area of the pot to be held in the clamping area. The first lever has a first locking means and the second lever has a second locking means. The first locking means engages with the second locking means in the closed position, so that the first lever and the second lever are locked in the closed position.

A pot gripper comprises a first lever and a second lever joined at a fulcrum. The first lever has a first jaw extending from the fulcrum and the second lever has a second jaw extending from the fulcrum. A towel and mitt combination having a towel and a mitt is disclosed. In one configuration, the towel and mitt combination includes a towel that includes a front fastener. The towel and mitt combination also includes a mitt that includes a mitt fastener. The mitt fastener is configured to be releasably secured to the front fastener. The mitt is configured to be operatively and removably connected to the towel via the mitt fastener and the front fastener, when the mitt fastener is releasably secured to the front fastener. In another configuration, the towel includes a tab which includes the front fastener. These and other embodiments foster a coherent towel and mitt combination that enables a user to fasten a mitt to a towel with great convenience and ease.

"Lid Holder"
A lid holder has a base portion and a pair of spaced apart arms having a proximal end connected to the base portion and a free distal end extending away from the base portion. The lid holder further has a U-shaped lug at the free distal end of each arm, the lug having a first end and a second end directed toward the base portion, and a leg connected to the second end of each U-shaped lug, the leg protruding in an outward direction away from the arms. The arms are deflectable from a first position to a second position with application of a deflecting force such that at least a portion of the arms is insertable between vertically extending posts of a lid handle. After a deflecting force is removed, the arms revert back toward the first position, thereby engaging the legs with the vertically extending posts of the lid handle.
Hand tool
A hand tool is disclosed which provides for extension and protection of a person's hand while allowing for the manipulation of a food product, even over a hot oven or grill. The hand tool comprises the tool section, a handle, and a shield sleeve. The handle can be attached to the tool section or to the shield sleeve. In one embodiment, the tool section is reversibly attached to the shield sleeve, so that the tool is interchangeable with other tools.
