A work base with a holding device for suspending a vessel and a system with such a work base and a vessel are proposed, wherein the vessel is secured against being pulled out of the holding device.

Surfaces suitable for cutting boards, cheese boards or other food preparation activities. In certain embodiments, the surfaces are wood that has been subjected to torrefaction. In certain embodiments, the surfaces are substantially planar, and include one or more pegs that have antimicrobial activity.

Pressware products, such as disposable cutting boards and trays, are provided. A disposable cutting board can include an inner sidewall extending upwardly from a bottom panel, a flange portion that extends outwardly from the sidewall, a first annular transition extending upwardly and outwardly from the bottom panel to a first end of the sidewall, and a second annular transition extending outwardly from a second end of the sidewall to a first end of the flange. The bottom panel can have a surface area of about 300 cm.sup.2 to about 1,000 cm.sup.2, and the disposable cutting board can have a height of about 3 mm to about 10 mm. The disposable cutting board can further have an FPI rigidity of about 85 grams or more and a product to blank perimeter (P1/P2) ratio of about 90% to about 99%.

A side shelf system configured to couple to a portable cooking station. The side shelf system includes a side shelf and a cutting board. The side shelf includes an upper surface that defines a rectangular opening therein. The side shelf includes at least two extensions that extend from the opening, each extension having a ledge. The cutting board is sized to be positioned in the rectangular opening, the cutting board having an upward facing surface with a through hole defined therein. The cutting board includes a depth such that, upon positioning the cutting board over the ledge, the upward facing surface of the cutting board is substantially flush with the upper surface of the side shelf.

A multi-purpose, foldable cutting board that can be used to store knives along at least one of its side walls while including a plurality of compartments housed within the cutting board that can be used to store or transport cut foods. Additionally, the compartments can be covered using complementing compartment covers that close the compartments using fastening means such as magnets. The compartments can be slid in and out of the cutting board so that a user can access the cut foods or the foods can be transported within the cutting board. Also, the compartments can include a lip or similar funneling element to provide for easy transfer of the cut foods without spillage.

Serving platter systems for grill to table convenience are disclosed herein. Various embodiments include a platter including a dorsal plater surface and a cutting board including a ventral cutting board surface. In some embodiments the ventral cutting board surface seamlessly engages with the dorsal platter surface to form the serving platter system for grill to table convenience. In various embodiments the dorsal cutting board surface further comprises an indentation for trapping juices from grilled food items. Furthermore, the dorsal platter surface comprises a fluid receiving indentation section of the dorsal platter surface for receiving juices from grilled food items.

A manufacturing process to produce a multi-layer plastic cutting board incorporating a decorative pattern and non-skid feature by a single manufacturing process, wherein the light weight plastic cutting board has different layers comprising a cutting face, a decal film, a reinforcement layer and a non-skid face are manufactured by a single process, wherein the manufacturer and designer can decide the layer combinations from two layers, three layers to as much as four layers by the controlling in production, wherein all layers are bonded together with permanent joint and rigid for everyday usage.

A mobile kitchen unit includes a storage container, a first module, and a second module. The first module can include a sink for receiving water. The first module can be positioned within the storage container and mounted on a first set of rails such that it can slide at least partially out from the storage container. The second module can have a stove and propane tank in one example. The second module can be positioned within the first module and mounted on a second set of rails such that the second module can slide at least partially out from the first module. In one example, the first and second modules are independently slidable with respect to one another. In an example, the second module can fit substantially within the first module with the stove and propane tank still attached to the second module.

A transporting and presentation device for grate inserts including a main body, handles and recess grips. The main body includes at least one grate insert mount arranged either directly or in an insert ring. The main body is able to accommodate a grate insert. The main body additionally includes a central depression approximately equal in size to the insertable grate insert.

A chopping board mechanism includes a frame for holding a rubbish bag, and a fixture connected to the frame for attaching an edge of the rubbish bag to a chopping board. Advantageously, the frame is configured to release the rubbish bag from the frame for replacing a full rubbish bag with an empty rubbish bag.
