Chest valve for treating pneumothorax
A chest valve including: a housing including an inlet configured to connect to a chest tube, an outlet and a fluid passage from the inlet to the outlet; and a one-way valve within the housing and included in the flow passage, wherein the one-way valve includes: (i) a first tubular strip wherein having an internal air passage and a first layer defining the air passage, wherein the first layer has a first thickness and the internal air passage of the first tubular strip is included in fluid passage of the housing; and (ii) a second tubular strip wherein having a second layer with a second thickness with a second thickness greater than the first thickness, wherein an outer surface of the second tubular strip is adjacent and overlaps an outer surface of the first tubular strip.
Vacuum lamination system and vacuum lamination method
A vacuum lamination system includes a film supply assembly, a film collection assembly, a lower lamination body, an upper lamination body, an air extractor, a moving assembly and a cutting assembly. The lower lamination body includes a first casing base and a lower heating assembly vertically movable and disposed in the first casing base. The lower heating assembly carries and moves the substrate so that the substrate is substantially flush with a top surface of the first casing base or retracted into the first casing base. The upper lamination body is vertically movable and disposed above the lower lamination body and includes an upper casing and an upper heating assembly disposed on the upper casing. The air extractor is connected to the lower lamination body. The moving assembly changes a height of a portion of the film. The cutting assembly cuts a portion of the film laminated onto the substrate.
FIBER-FOAM SHOE INSOLES, AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
This document discloses antistatic shoe insoles that include a flexible foam layer and antistatic filaments of textile material interspersed throughout the foam layer and extending passed or exposed at the surface of the shoe insole and methods of making such an antistatic shoe insole. The antistatic filaments are needle punched through the foam layer. The antistatic filaments may be any suitable antistatic material blended with any felt fiber such as wool fiber, cotton fiber, polyester fiber, or the like.
System and Method for Assisting in the Manufacture of a Wind Turbine Blade Shell
A method of manufacturing a wind turbine blade shell part is described. Fibre mats and a root end insert are laid up in a mould part in a layup procedure by use of an automated layup system. The fibre mats are laid up by use of a buffer so that the fibre mats may continuously be laid up on the mould surface, also during a cutting procedure. The root end insert is prepared in advance and mounted on a mounting plate. The root end insert is lowered onto the mould by use of the mounting plate and a lowering mechanism. After the wind turbine blade shell has been moulded, the mounting plate is removed.
Method for Forming a Multilayer PVC Sheet Material with a Foamed Carrier
The present invention relates to a method for forming a multilayer plastic sheet material for floor and/or wall panels, wherein a first polymer mass comprising a chemically foamed PVC is melted under pressure and is forced through an extruder head at a well-defined discharge rate as a plastic strand in sheet form that is provided with one or more layers so that a multilayer plastic strand is formed, which is propelled towards two or more rolls of a rolling mill, which processes the multilayer plastic strand to a sheet of a defined thickness and where one of the rolls will apply a three-dimensional structure in the top layer. This sheet will then be led away by a discharge device to a sawing device to be cut off to the desired length and width and finally, in a subsequent production step, as multilayer plank-shaped elements, will be provided with coupling parts on two opposite edges so that several of said plank-shaped elements are couplable together.
EQUIPMENT AND METHOD FOR LAYING A FILM ON A PLATE-SHAPED PART HOLDER
The invention relates to an equipment having an upstream holder for a supply reel carrying a continuous ribbon, a portion of which is suitable for forming a film intended to cover a support plate, a downstream holder, an assembly station having a base comprising having a first platen, an actuator with a movable part carrying a second platen, the second platen or the first platen being adapted to receive a support plate, wherein the second platen is adapted to cooperate with the first platen to form a tooling capable of contacting the film and the support plate when the portion of the ribbon forming the film is located between the second platen and the first platen, facing the support plate.
PLENUM INSERT FOR SEAT AND METHOD OF ITS FABRICATION
A method of fabricating a plenum insert for a vehicle seat includes the steps of providing an outer material layer having an edge, providing an inner spacer layer, placing the inner spacer layer material on the outer material layer, folding the outer material layer over the inner spacer layer such that the edge overlaps itself, and sealing the overlapping edge of the outer material layer to contain the spacer layer.
LAMINATE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING INTERMEDIATE SHEET, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COMPOSITE
In order to provide a composite good in formability into a three-dimensional shape and easy to manufacture, in a laminate having a core material layer and a skin material laminated on the core material layer, the core material layer has a plurality of plate-shaped flakes lined up along a surface of the skin material, and adjacent plate-shaped flakes are separated from each other by a gap or by a cut in the core material layer, and cutting directions along a thickness direction, which is determined from cutting marks formed on an outer periphery, are identical to each other among the plurality of the plate-shaped flakes.
LOW WEIGHT MODULAR CARPET COMPONENTS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
A low-weight carpet tile and process for making the same, wherein the carpet tile comprises a facecloth having a plurality of face yarns tufted through a primary backing, an extruded polymer secondary backing layer, and a reinforcing scrim layer partially un embedded within the extruded polymer secondary backing layer. The top surface and bottom surface of the carpet tile are defined by the facecloth and the reinforcing scrim layer, respectively. A polymer-based resin is extruded onto the facecloth to form an at least substantially uniform secondary backing layer, and the reinforcing scrim layer is laid onto the extruded polymer secondary backing layer while the extruded polymer secondary backing layer remains above a softening temperature for the resin. The entire multi-layer web is then passed through a nip to embed the reinforcing scrim layer into the extruded polymer secondary layer, and the entire web is chilled.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MASS PRODUCING TEMPLATES FROM PLASTIC FILM
An apparatus for unrolling film to a desired length and rapidly cutting multiple sheets of a desired size. The sheets can then be further processed and cut using templates. The system can have a polygonal wheel, an axle slot for receiving a roll of film, a first fastener for attaching the film to the polygonal wheel, a cutter for cutting the film into sheets and a second fastener for forming a stack of sheets of film. The stack of sheets can be further cut with a second cutter into a desired shape.
