Projectile penetration resistance assemblies
Unidirectional transparent projectile penetration resistant panels and bidirectional opaque projectile penetration resistant assemblies and systems and methods of forming and mounting the same relative to underlying support structures.
Packaging container with reclosable lid and label
The present subject matter relates to a label lid for sealing an opening in a packaging container. The label comprises a facestock layer, a removable adhesive layer, a heat-seal layer, and an optional release coating, wherein the removable adhesive layer does not include a release liner. The removable adhesive layer can be coated on the heat-seal layer or the facestock layer. Optionally, a release coating can be applied to the heat-seal layer or the facestock layer. The composition of the layers used in specific arrangements provides unique performance characteristics for the label for improved sealing, reclosure, and matrix stripping properties.
Patches for outdoor products and method of manufacture
Applique, self-adhesive patches for repairing clothing, inflatable sleeping pads, tents, and other fabric articles, and methods for manufacturing and applying the patches. The patch includes a layer of fabric laminated to a layer of adhesive, the layer of adhesive being thicker than the layer of fabric. The patch is cut by a laser or heat punch, forming an edge portion wherein the backing protecting the adhesive, the adhesive, and the fabric are more closely bonded than the rest of the patch.
Sandwich structure having an embedded connecting element
A sandwich structure includes two cover layers and a core arranged therebetween, and at least one connecting element for connection to further components. The connecting element has an insert, which is embedded into the sandwich structure at a cover layer of the two cover layers. An embedding depth of the insert is less than a thickness of the core. The connecting element is finished flush with an outer side of the cover layer via which the connecting element is embedded or protrudes from the cover layer.
SPORTS EQUIPMENT WITH CUT OUTS FORMED IN OUTER LAYER OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL
A piece of tubular sports equipment includes: a first layer of composite material including fibers oriented in a first direction; a second layer of composite material that directly contacts the first layer of composite material, that is arranged radially outwardly of the first layer of composite material, and that includes fibers oriented in a second direction that is different than the first direction; and a third layer of composite material that directly contacts the second layer of composite material, that is arranged radially outwardly of the second layer of composite material, that includes fibers oriented in a third direction that is different than the second direction, and that includes an aperture formed through the third layer such that a portion of the second layer is visible through the aperture.
GLASS LAMINATE ARTICLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A glass laminate article includes an adhesive film attached to a base material, and a glass substrate layer attached to the adhesive film, wherein the glass substrate layer has a side surface that is inclined with respect to an upper surface thereof by an obtuse angle. According to the glass laminate article and a method of manufacturing the glass laminate article, the glass laminate article has an excellent appearance and safety and may be easily manufactured at a low cost.
A PANEL FOR A FLEXIBLE PACKAGE
A panel for a flexible package (100), and a method and system for forming the panel is provided. The panel comprises a first laminate having an open-area; a second laminate extending from a top edge to a bottom edge; and a third laminate, the third laminate sealed with the first laminate to cover the open-area, and the top edge and the bottom edge of the second laminate sealed between the first laminate and the third laminate such that area between the top edge and the bottom edge of the second laminate remains free forming a loop with the panel. The panel preferably forms a side-gusset (102) of a flexible packaging pouch, wherein the loop can be used as a handle (110) to carry the flexible package.
Forgery prevention labels for high-temperature applications
Heat resistant brittle films can be made from impact-modified poly(meth)acrylimide, and forgery prevention labels can contain the heat resistant brittle films. The films can be advantageously prepared by extrusion and, depending on the desired purpose, can be designed to be transparent, translucent, or entirely non-transparent, e.g., white. Ideally, the brittle films and the forgery prevention labels containing the brittle films have no intended break points such as slits, perforation, etc.
Flexible display apparatus and manufacturing method thereof
A method of manufacturing a flexible display apparatus includes: preparing a substrate; forming a first charge adhesive layer having a first charge on the substrate; forming a second charge adhesive layer having a second charge, which is opposite to the first charge, on the first charge adhesive layer; forming a first charge adhesive pattern and a second charge adhesive pattern by removing an edge of each of the first charge adhesive layer and the second charge adhesive layer; forming a flexible substrate on the substrate on which the first charge adhesive pattern and the second charge adhesive pattern are formed; forming a display unit on the flexible substrate; cutting the substrate, the first charge adhesive pattern, the second charge adhesive pattern, the flexible substrate, and the display unit along a cutting line; and separating the substrate and the flexible substrate.
Protective sheet disposing method
A protective sheet disposing method of disposing a protective sheet on a top surface of a wafer in which a device region having a plurality of devices formed thereon and a peripheral surplus region surrounding the device region are formed, the protective sheet disposing method including: a first protective sheet preparing step of preparing a first protective sheet having a non-adhesive portion corresponding to the device region and an adhesive portion having an adhesive layer laid on a periphery of the non-adhesive portion; a protective sheet affixing step of affixing the first protective sheet to the peripheral surplus region; a liquid resin dropping step of dropping a liquid resin onto a region of a second protective sheet; an integrating step of integrating the first protective sheet and the second protective sheet with each other; and a cutting step of cutting the first protective sheet and the second protective sheet.
