Stiffened composite panel with integrated shim
Provided are stiffened stringer panels with integrated shim structures. An example composite panel comprises a skin member having an inner surface, and a stringer positioned on the inner surface. The stringer comprises a first flange portion and a second flange portion with the first flange portion and the second flange portion contacting the inner surface. The composite panel further comprises an integrated shim positioned on the first flange portion. The integrated shim may comprise a sacrificial material configured to be trimmed to the desired geometry. The sacrificial material may comprise a glass fiber reinforced plastic fabric pre-impregnated with resin. The integrated shim may be configured to interface with internal support structures of a wing assembly. The integrated shim may be configured to be machined to fit dimensions and measurements corresponding to the internal support structures of the wing assembly.
Lamination manufacturing method for large-size and complex-structure metal components
A lamination manufacturing method for large-sized metal components with complicated structures is provided, relating to a part manufacturing method to solve the problem that traditional machining, entire plastic forming and the existing additive manufacturing method are difficult to manufacture large-sized metal components with complicated special-shape structure and high-performance requirement. The manufacturing method includes the steps: step 1. obtaining a three-dimensional digital model of a large-sized metal component with complicated structure, and dividing the model into a plurality of slice layers; step 2. selecting the actually available metal sheet corresponding to the thickness of each slice layer divided in step 1, and machining each metal sheet to obtain a shaped sheet consistent with the model of each slice layer in step 1; step 3. stacking the shaped sheets obtained through machining of step 2 according to the order of the corresponding slice layers in step 1; and step 4. obtaining a required large-sized metal component with complicated structure after all the shaped sheets are connected into a whole. The present invention is used for shaping large-sized components with complicated deep cavity and inner hole structures.
Encapsulation film
The present application relates to an encapsulation film, a method of manufacturing the same, an organic electronic device including the same, and a method of manufacturing the organic electronic device using the same. The present application provides an encapsulation film which can be formed to have a structure in which moisture or oxygen flowing from the outside into an organic electronic device can be effectively blocked, has excellent handling properties and processability, and also has excellent bonding properties with an organic electronic element and durability.
DUAL PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET FOR INSTORE SIGNAGE
A tandem system of metering and donor rolls is used to apply two different adhesives to a fully adhesive backed multilayer sheet to produce variably distributed adhesives and properties. Each of the two adhesives is unique and is cured differently to create a layer of adhesive that has differing adhesive properties on the sheet. A clear adhesive is applied to a top portion of cards before they are cut from the sheet and has a higher tackiness than the adhesive applied to the rest of the cards on the sheet in order to reduce glue buildup on blades cutting the cards from the sheet.
FLEXIBLE PACKAGING STRUCTURE WITH A BUILT-IN OPENING AND RECLOSE FEATURE
The invention comprises, in an embodiment, a resealable packaging structure comprising a container having a bottom and at least one sidewall extending upwardly therefrom, wherein the sidewall terminates in a flange. A flexible resealable lid is sealed to the flange. The lid comprises a polyethylene terephthalate layer disposed adjacent the flange, a pressure sensitive adhesive layer disposed adjacent the polyethylene terephthalate layer, and an oriented polypropylene layer disposed adjacent the pressure sensitive adhesive layer. The polyethylene terephthalate layer comprises a laser scored line which penetrates through the thickness of the inner layer but not through the outer layer and defines an opening portion that can be lifted out of the plane of the inner layer, thereby creating an opening through the lid defined by the laser score line.
Apparatuses and methods for producing containers
The apparatus includes an operating unit, which can be a welding unit for welding a closing film to an edge zone of a containing element or a separating unit for separating containing elements from portions of sheet material. The apparatus includes a control unit programmed to enable the operating unit to selectively process a continuous strip of containing elements or discrete groups of containing elements.
Method of making a polarizing beamsplitter array
An optical component array and method of making an optical component array includes a plurality of optical components useful for projection devices or other optical devices.
Microfluidic structures fabricating method
A method for fabricating microfluidic structures is provided. The method includes: a belt is provided and an adhesion layer is formed on at least one surface of the belt; the belt is cut for forming a first microfluidic channel thereon, wherein the first microfluidic channel has an accommodating space; a second microfluidic channel is provided, wherein a line-width of the second microfluidic channel is smaller than a line-width of the first microfluidic channel; the second microfluidic channel is disposed in the accommodating space of the first microfluidic channel; and a substrate is adhered to the belt via the adhesion layer.
Crane mat and method of manufacture
A crane mat is disclosed having a plurality of panels of lumber positioned in alternating transverse directions with respect to one another, where the top and bottom panels are oriented parallel to the direction of vehicular traffic. The top and bottom panels may include a plurality of spaced apart grooves extending longitudinally from a first longitudinal end of the crane mat to a second longitudinal end of the crane mat for enhancing traction of a vehicle when traversing across the crane mat by transporting rain or moisture off the mat, or for receiving mud or other debris. The crane mat may include a plurality of edge protectors positioned on respective sides of the crane mat to protect the crane mat from handling damage. In various embodiments, the crane mat may be manufactured using either softwood, hardwood, or any combination of softwood and hardwood.
Method for making a shaped nonwoven
A method for making nonwoven fabric. The nonwoven fabric can include three-dimensional features that define a microzone comprising a first region and a second region. The first and second regions can have a difference in values for an intensive property. The nonwoven further has a plurality of apertures, wherein at least a portion of the aperture abuts at least one of the first region and the second region of the microzone.
