Composite fabric member and methods
A planar article in the form of a thin strip is shown. The article, comprising a fabric and a polymer, can be formed into a variety of shapes. A hollow profile made from the article by forming a seam using opposing edges of the strip to enclose a volume. A thermoplastic extrusion formed composite structural member and method for making is disclosed. In one embodiment, the composite structural member includes a first web made from a first material and a first resin, a second web made from a second material different from the first material, a third web made from a third material and a third resin, and a fourth web made from a fourth material.
THERMAL LINER FOR PROTECTIVE GARMENTS
A nonwoven for use in a thermal liner for protective apparel includes 1-45 wt % of a first inherently heat resistant fiber excluding an aramid, and a balance of a second heat resistant fiber. The nonwoven excludes wool and has a thickness less than 3 mm and a basis weight of less than 2.9 osy (100 gsm). In another embodiment, the insulating layer for protective apparel includes a nonwoven including an inherently flame resistant fiber and fibers being inherently resistant to moisture absorption. The inherently flame resistant fiber is different from said inherently resistant to moisture absorption fiber. The nonwoven has an equivalent or better thermal protective performance (TPP) and a lower basis weight than an industry standard nonwoven consisting of a nonwoven of para-aramids or meta-aramids or a blend of both.
PANEL COATING SYSTEM
A panel coating system for simple and efficient installation of a removably attachable layer to a panel.
LAMINATES HAVING PERFORATED STRUCTURAL BODY
A laminate is provided which includes a structural body including a base portion and a through hole and which can concurrently satisfy operability and stickiness during processes such as fitting, can be released with no or little adhesive residue, and also exhibits excellent adhesion to various adherends, especially metals. The laminate includes a substrate and a structural body disposed on the surface of at least one side of the substrate, the structural body including a base portion and a through hole. The base portion of the structural body includes an acrylic triblock copolymer (I) that includes two polymer blocks (A1) and (A2) each including methacrylic acid ester units and one polymer block (B) including acrylic acid ester units represented by the general formula CH.sub.2═CH—COOR.sup.1 (1) (wherein R.sup.1 denotes a C1-C3 organic group). The acrylic triblock copolymer (I) has an (A1)-(B)-(A2) block structure and a weight average molecular weight of 50,000 to 250,000. The total content of the polymer blocks (A1) and (A2) is not more than 35 mass % of the acrylic triblock copolymer (I).
LAMINATES HAVING PERFORATED STRUCTURAL BODY
A laminate is provided which includes a substrate and a structural body including a base portion and a through hole and which can concurrently satisfy stickiness and releasability and can be released with no or little adhesive residue. The laminate includes a substrate and a structural body disposed on the surface of at least one side of the substrate, the structural body including a base portion and a through hole. The base portion of the structural body includes an acrylic triblock copolymer (I) and no tackifier resins or includes an acrylic triblock copolymer (I) and a tackifier resin in a tackifier resin/(I) mass ratio of not more than 20/100. The acrylic triblock copolymer (I) includes two polymer blocks (A1) and (A2) each including methacrylic acid ester units and one polymer block (B) including acrylic acid ester units represented by the general formula CH.sub.2═CH—COOR.sup.1 (1) (wherein R.sup.1 denotes a C4-C12 organic group).
Article, Particularly an Air Spring Bellows, a Metal-Rubber Element, or a Vibration Damper
The invention relates to an article comprising a main body (6, 7, 8) that consists of a polymer material having elastic properties, particularly an air spring bellows (2), a metal-rubber element or a vibration damper. In order for fire-retardant properties to be improved, the article is provided, partially or fully, with a cover (9) formed from at least one flat textile structure and/or at least one three-dimensional textile structure and/or at least one shrink film. The cover can be fire-retardant itself or can be equipped to be fire-retardant.
SYNTHETIC-TEXTILE HYBRID FABRIC AND MEANS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A hybrid fabric made of at least one textile base layer and at least one synthetic layer, where the synthetic layer is at least partially embedded within the textile base layer. The embedded synthetic layer imparts numerous qualities to the hybrid fabric formed and possible designs visible through the surface of the fabric. The hybrid fabric may be manufactured in different methods including hot and cold press, knitting, felting and use of intermediate linking adhesive or polymeric layer.
HUMIDITY AND SAG RESISTANT BUILDING PANEL
Described herein is an stain and sag resistant acoustic building panel comprising a porous body formed from building material and latex binder, wherein the building material may include fibers and filler and at one of the building materials has been pre-treated with a charge-modifying component, thereby enhancing the sag-resistance of the building panel.
MATERIAL FOR DEVELOPING/MAINTAINING OR COMPENSATING FOR MOTOR SKILLS
Described herein is a flexible but resilient material comprising a soft outside shell and an internal flexible but resilient support core, as well as a method for constructing such a flexible but resilient material that can have multiple applications, including being used to manufacture an improved shoelace to help young children, individuals who are physically challenged, and/or who have a limiting physical disability.
BASEBALL/SOFTBALL, METHOD OF PROCESSING THEREOF AND MATERIAL FORMULA OF BASEBALL/SOFTBALL COVER
A baseball/softball comprises a core and a cover, wherein the core is wrapped with a layer of fiber material, and the layer of fiber material is wrapped and glued with the cover. A method of processing baseball/softball comprises wrapping the core with the layer of fiber material, placing the core and the layer of fiber material into a cover material, placing the core, the layer of fiber material outside the core and the layer of cover material outside the layer of fiber material into a mold; molding the layer of cover material into the cover through a vulcanization process, gluing a vulcanization melting layer formed on inner wall of the cover to the layer of fiber material, and finally taking the finished product out of the mold. From the perspectives of smell, touch and visual sense, the product has good simulation effect of baseball/softball and better service effect.
