Curative
A curative for epoxidized plant-based oils and epoxidized natural rubber is created from the reaction between a naturally occurring polyfunctional acid and an epoxidized plant-based oil is disclosed. The curative may be used to produce at least one of six different materials, wherein each type of material may be configured as a thermosetting elastomer that is crosslinked with β-hydroxyester linkages. The materials may be configured as a leather-like material, a foam material, a molded elastomer, a coating, an adhesive, and/or a rigid or semi-rigid material. Illustrative articles made from any combination of the six materials may be recycled using a mechano-chemical process to de-crosslink the thermosetting elastomer.
OPTICAL BODY, OPTICAL FILM ADHESIVE BODY, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OPTICAL BODY
There is provided a new and improved optical body, optical film adhesive body, and method for manufacturing an optical body, in which a concave-convex structure of an optical film can be protected without the use of a protective film, the optical film can be made thinner, the handling properties can be improved, the occurrence of defects caused by a difference in the refractive index between an adhesive layer and the optical film can be minimized, and the optical film can be applied more firmly to the adherend, the optical body including: an optical film provided with first and second concave-convex structures; and a master film in which an average period of concavities and convexities of the first concave-convex structure is less than or equal to visible light wavelengths, and the master film is provided with a third concave-convex structure which has a reverse shape of the first concave-convex structure.
WAFER LAMINATE AND MAKING METHOD
A wafer laminate has an adhesive layer (2) sandwiched between a support (1) and a wafer (3), with a circuit-forming surface of the wafer facing the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer (2) includes a light-shielding resin layer (2a), an epoxy-containing siloxane skeleton resin layer (2b), and a non-silicone thermoplastic resin layer (2c).
MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR ALL-SOLID-STATE BATTERY, MANUFACTURING APPARATUS FOR ALL-SOLID-STATE BATTERY, AND ALL-SOLID-STATE BATTERY
A manufacturing method for an all-solid-state battery includes: producing a laminated battery having both end surfaces in a lamination direction and a side surface by laminating pluralities of collector layers, positive electrode mixture layers, solid electrolyte layers, and negative electrode mixture layers; supplying a liquid resin to only the side surface of the laminated battery; and curing the liquid resin. Producing the laminated battery by protruding at least one layer of the collector layer, the positive electrode mixture layer, the solid electrolyte layer, and the negative electrode mixture layer relative to remaining of the layers to form a protruding layer. Protruding a plurality of protruding layers from the side surface of the battery. Supplying the resin involves supplying the liquid resin to only the side surface of the laminated battery such that the liquid resin penetrates into a clearance between one protruding layer and another protruding layer.
Method of Manufacturing Anti-Theft Labels
A system and method for manufacturing a strip or label used to place a substantially invisible identifying mark is disclosed. A strip is treated by removing at least one area of a liner element, a film layer and an adhesive layer. Each one of the removed areas is substantially congruent with the other removed areas. A laser or other ablating device is used to remove the areas through vaporization. The strip element is peeled away from the liner element, exposing the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is thereafter pressed against a substantially flat metal surface. The laminate top coat and the film layer are removed from the object, leaving the adhesive layer in place. The adhesive material is impregnated with a UV sensitive material, but is otherwise invisible.
LAMINATED GLASS LUMINESCENT CONCENTRATOR
A laminated glass luminescent concentrator is provided which includes a solid medium having a plurality of fluorophores disposed therein. In some embodiments, the fluorophore is a low-toxicity quantum dot. In some embodiments, the fluorophore has significantly reduced self-absorption, which allows for unperturbed waveguiding of the photoluminescence over a long distance. Also disclosed are apparatuses for generating electricity from the laminated glass luminescent concentrator, and its combination with buildings and vehicles.
Data sheet for a security and/or value document
The invention relates to a datasheet (1) for integrating into a preferably book-like security and/or value document. The datasheet (1) is made of at least two stacked layers (2, 3) made of an organic polymer material. A textile (5) is arranged at least in a sub-region between the layers (2, 3) and outside of the layers (2, 3) so as to form a tab (4), and the textile (5) is at least partly coated on one or both sides and/or saturated with an organic binder (6) at least in the region between the layers (2, 3) and is bonded to the two layers (2, 3) by means of the binder (6).
Method for manufacturing layered electronic devices
A method for fabricating printed electronics includes printing a trace of an electrical component on a first substrate to form a first layer. The method further includes printing a trace of an electrical component on at least one additional substrate to form at least one additional layer. The first layer is stacked with the at least one additional layer to create an assembled electrical device. At least one of the layers is modified after printing.
INSULATION PRODUCTS
The invention relates to a method of making an insulation product and a novel insulation product, wherein the insulation product is made by adhering a facing to at least one major surface of a batt of man-made vitreous fibres in a matrix comprising a binder by the use of an adhesive and curing the adhesive. The adhesive is an aqueous composition which comprises a component (i) in form of one or more oxidized lignins; a component (ii) in form of one or more cross-linkers; a component (iii) in form of one or more plasticizers.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO VENT GAS AND VAPOR FROM A PANEL VIA VENTING CHANNELS FOR A DECORATIVE LAYER
Methods and apparatus to vent gas and vapor from a panel via venting channels for a decorative layer are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a decorative layer, an adhesive layer to couple the decorative layer to a panel, and a resin layer disposed between the decorative layer and the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is coupled to a first side of the resin layer. The decorative layer is coupled to a second side of the resin layer. The first side of the resin layer defines venting channels to vent at least one of gas or vapor away from the decorative layer to deter the at least one of gas or vapor from exerting a pressure on the decorative layer to deter separation of a portion of the decorative layer from the resin layer. The venting channels have a depth to impede the adhesive layer from filling the venting channels.
