Systems and methods for a bathing system
A bathing system, includes a transfer system having a carrier base and a transfer seat. A sliding of the transfer seat relative to the carrier base may facilitate transfer of the transfer seat toward or away from the tub. A first arm and a second arm of the carrier base extends into and overlaps with a first support surface and a second support surface of the tub respectively. A controller may be in operative communication with a plurality of sensors and determine whether the bathing system is in a state where it is permissible to transfer the transfer seat toward or away from the tub and if so, actuate components of the transfer system to permit the transfer of a patient in the transfer system.
Devices to automate process for cleaning showers and bathtubs
An economical and effective process for the complete removal of soap scum and dirt from surfaces such as those in showers and bathtubs without any scrubbing has been defined. This patent application defines cleaning devices that make the said process easy, practical, and automated. The said devices employ the previous referenced process and ultimately eliminates the chore of cleaning the showers and bathtubs.
NON-CONTACT POWER TRANSMISSION DEVICE AND NON-CONTACT POWER TRANSMISSION/RECEPTION SYSTEM
Provided is non-contact power transmission/reception technique which is easy to be used while ensuring consideration for safety. A non-contact power transmission device 100 that wirelessly transfers generated transmission power to a non-contact power reception device 200 comprises a transmission power generation unit 120 configured to perform generation of the transmission power and a control unit 117 configured to control the generation of the transmission power. The control unit 117 is further configured to control the generation of the transmission power which is performed by the transmission power generation unit 120 in accordance with a surrounding environment in which at least one of the non-contact power transmission device 100 and the non-contact power reception device 200, or at least one of states of these devices.
STEP STOOL AND METHOD OF USE
A bed step stool for assisting a user into and out of bed comprises a first support to be disposed closer to a head of the bed; a second support to be disposed closer to a foot of the bed; a step assembly supported between the first support and the second support; a ramp coupled to the step assembly; the step assembly to enable the user to step thereon for assisting the user into and out of the bed, wherein the first support and the second support define an unobstructed pathway for entry and exit with respect to the bed and the bed step stool that is perpendicular with respect to the sides of the bed whereby the user goes between the first support and the second support, up the ramp, onto the step assembly, and off the step assembly without any obstruction.
Voice Activated Self-Cleaning Shower with Programmable Settings for Individuals
The inventive device disclosed in the present application is a shower that will clean itself, with rotating sprinkler heads throughout shower, at an independent time, or after receiving a voice command. In addition, the user will be able to use the voice activation feature control to set the water temperature, as well as set the water flow desired from the shower head. The starting point for water temperature and water flow for each independent user is programmed into a CPU, though during showering that temperature and water flow may be adjusted through voice commands or by interfacing with a controller. A green light on the controller indicates for the user that the desired temperature and water flow point have been reached.
APPARATUS FOR CONVERTING A BATHTUB INTO A SOAKER
An apparatus used for converting a bathtub into a soaker is disclosed. The apparatus includes a rectangular fitting dimensionally conformed to a perimeter of a bathtub wall. The rectangular fitting includes a first portion and a middle portion. The first portion comprises a water-impermeable material coated with an adhesive material along the length of a bottom surface. The first portion includes a top surface conjoined with the middle portion. The adhesive-coated bottom surface of the first portion securely adheres to a top surface of the bathtub wall in order to be dimensionally conformed to the perimeter of the bathtub wall. The middle portion is configured to extend upward and downward to pre-determined heights by a user while the first portion securely adheres to the bathtub wall. The apparatus is configured to store water above the top edge of the bathtub wall, thereby converting the bathtub into the soaker.
LEG CARE APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A leg care apparatus includes a main body configured to provide an action space in which a leg is accommodated, an action space adjustment module configured to adjust a size of an inlet of the action space, at least one proximity sensor configured to sense a user's access, and a controller configured to control the action space adjustment module in response to at least one sensing signal.
Bathroom speaker
A voice controlled device comprises a housing, a dock, a coupling mechanism, and a microphone. The dock is configured to connect the housing to a plurality of host appliances. The coupling mechanism is configured to receive an identification value indicative of docking between the voice controlled device and a currently connected host appliance of the plurality of host appliances. The microphone is configured to receive one or more voice inputs for the currently connected host appliance. A command is provided based on the one or more voice inputs and the identification value.
Shower belt drowning prevention device
The present invention relates to a drowning prevention device for use in the shower employing an autonomous, gravity-based mechanism. In one example, the drowning prevention device comprises a harness comprising a belt and a lanyard. In a fall situation, the body weight of a user wearing the belt of the drowning prevention device directs the force to the lanyard which pulls an attached cable connected to the shower's valve arm, closing the valve arm and stopping water flow.
Foot spa
Disclosed is a disposable for use with a surface that defines a basin for receiving liquid. The disposable has a pair of surfaces spaced apart from one another by a tubular sidewall. One of the pair of surfaces is positioned, in use, against the basin-defining surface. In use, gas issues through the sidewall in the form of bubbles. The disposable is useful in association with foot spas and the like. A mechanism for puncturing a liner is also disclosed.
