Composite Foam Article

A composite foam article is disclosed herein. The composite foam article comprises a polyurethane foam core presenting a first surface and a second surface facing opposite the first surface. A first skin is disposed on the first surface and a second skin is disposed on the second surface. The polyurethane foam core has a density of 15-80 kg/m.sup.3. The first and second skins comprise a plurality of fibers and a polymeric binder. The composite foam article has a weight per unit area of 500-1000 g/m.sup.2 and a strength of greater than 17 N at a post-compression thickness of greater than 2 mm when tested in according with SAE J949 at 23° C.

Hot Melt Adhesive for Polyolefin Films

A hot-melt adhesive composition is disclosed. The hot melt adhesive comprises a) 25 to 95 wt %, preferably 50 to 85 wt % of at least one polyolefin-based polymer; b) 1 to 75 wt %, preferably 1 to 40 wt % of at least one tackifying resin; c) 0 to 15 wt % of at least one plasticizer; and d) 0 to 30 wt % of at least one additive and/or adjuvant selected from among stabilizers, adhesion promoters, fillers or pigments, waxes, and/or other polymers or combinations thereof,
characterized in that the at least one polyolefin-based polymer is a mixture of: a1) at least one first polyolefin-based polymer with a molecular weight M.sub.n of <10,000 g/mol in a quantity of 20 to 80 wt % with respect to the total quantity of polyolefin-based polymer, and a2) at least one second polyolefin-based polymer with a molecular weight M.sub.n of >10,000 g/mol in a quantity of 20 to 80 wt % with respect to the total quantity of polyolefin-based polymer. The adhesive is particularly useful for gluing polyolefin films, woven fabrics, or nonwoven fabrics. Also, methods for manufacturing packaging and fabric with the hot-melt adhesive above are disclosed.

MULTILAYER COMPOSITE TUBE WITH FLAME-RESISTANT LAYERS

One aspect of the invention provides a composite refrigeration line set including: a suction line and a return line. One or more of the lines are a composite refrigeration line set tube including: an inner plastic tube; a first adhesive layer external to the inner plastic tube; an aluminum layer surrounding the first adhesive layer and coupled to the inner plastic tube via the first adhesive layer; a second adhesive layer external to the aluminum layer; and an outer plastic layer surrounding the aluminum layer and coupled to the aluminum layer via the second adhesive layer. The outer plastic tube includes a flame-resistant compound combined with PERT. The composite refrigeration line set tube has a flame and smoke spread rating of no more than 25/50 when tested in isolation using Appendix A1.22 of the CAN/ULC-S102-10 Standard Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials and Assemblies.

Sealing film suitable for food packaging and preparation method thereof

A sealing film suitable for food packaging is disclosed, which adopts the following solution. The sealing film comprises, in sequence, a PET layer, a VMPET layer and a PE layer from outside to inside, wherein the PE layer comprises 100-110 parts of PE, 15-20 parts of EVA, 15-20 parts of EAA, 55-60 parts of HDPE and 10-15 parts of LLDPE in parts by mass. In this manner, the addition of HDPE and LLDPE into the PE layer is intended to enhance the tensile strength of the sealing film.

A biocompatible structure includes one or more base structures for regeneration of different tissues. Each base structure includes alternately stacked polymer layers and spacer layers. The polymer layer includes a polymer and tissue forming nanoparticles. The polymer includes polyurethane. The tissue forming nanoparticles includes hydroxypatites (HAP) nanoparticles, polymeric nanoparticles, or nanofibers. The spacer layer includes bone particles, polymeric nanoparticles, or nanofibers. The weight percentage of tissue forming nanoparticles to the polymer in the polymer layer in one base structure is different from that in the other base structures. A method of producing the biocompatible structure includes forming multiple base structures stacked together, coating the stacked multiple base structures, and plasma treating the coated structure.

INTERLAYERS AND ENCAPSULATION LAYERS FOR USE WITH HOLOGRAPHIC OPTICAL ELEMENTS
