The invention provides a polyolefin-based resin film formed from a polypropylene-based resin composition, the polyolefin-based resin film containing: in 100 parts by weight of a polypropylene-based resin composition, 40 to 97 parts by weight of a propylene-ethylene block copolymer; 0 to 50 parts by weight of a propylene-α olefin random copolymer or a propylene homopolymer; and 3 to 10 parts by weight of at least one type of an elastomer selected from the group consisting of an ethylene-propylene copolymer elastomer, a propylene-butene copolymer elastomer, and an ethylene-butene copolymer elastomer, wherein a heat shrinkage ratio in a longitudinal direction is not lower than 1% and not higher than 9%, and an x-axis orientation coefficient ΔNx calculated from a refractive index is not less than 0.0150 and not larger than 0.0250. The invention also provides a laminated body containing the polyolefin-based resin film, as well as a packaging body formed therefrom.

METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR ON-DEMAND RELEASE OF CI02 GAS FROM UV-ACTIVATED CHLORITE ION

Compositions and methods for generating ClO.sub.2 gas are disclosed. A composition that includes a chlorite salt is activated by exposure to ultraviolet light. After an optional storage period, the composition is then exposed to moisture, resulting in the generation of ClO.sub.2 gas. Exemplary compositions include polymers in which the chlorite salt is dispersed. The polymers may be used to form films that can be used to package, e.g., food products, pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and/or laboratory devices. Upon exposure to ultraviolet light and moisture, the packaging releases controlled quantities of ClO.sub.2 gas, which may disinfect and/or deodorize the packaged device or product.

Floor Mat Having Reduced Tuft Profile

This invention relates to a floor mat having reduced tuft profile on the backside of the textile component of the floor mat. The floor mat is comprised of a textile component and a base component. The textile component includes face yarn tufted through a primary backing layer. The reduced tuft profile is present on the backside of the textile component. Advantages of a floor mat with reduced tuft profile include improved uniformity of the secondary backing layer applied to the textile component and improved durability of the textile component.

LAYER ELEMENT SUITABLE AS INTEGRATED BACKSHEET FOR A BIFACIAL PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULE

The invention relates to a layer element comprising at least two layers (A) and (B), wherein layer (B) has a has a total luminous transmittance of at least 80.0%, an article, preferably abifacial photovoltaic module, comprising said layer element, a process for preparing said layer element, a process for preparing a photovoltaic module comprising said layer element and the use of said layer element as integrated backsheet element of a bifacial photovoltaic module.

MULTILAYER POLYMER SHEETS

Multilayer polymer sheets are provided, as well as related methods, systems, and appliances.

BACKING FOR ADHESIVE TAPE WITH THERMAL RESISTANCE

Backing films for adhesive tapes are presented, as well as adhesive tapes comprising such backing films, which may include tapes used in construction such as seam sealing tapes, roofing tapes, and flashing tapes. The backing film comprises a core layer, a first skin layer, and optionally a second skin layer, where the backing film has a coefficient of thermal expansion of less than 0.500 measured in at least one direction within the plane of the film, and, in some embodiments, a Young's modulus of less than 550 MPa as measured in at least one direction. In some embodiments, the backing film has a coefficient of thermal expansion of not more than 0.510 and a Young's modulus of not more than 540 MPa as measured in any direction within the plane of the film. In some embodiments, the core layer comprises a polyolefin, and skin layers comprise a thermoplastic elastomer.
