Conveyor Belt
A conveyor belt including a pulley cover layer, a carry cover layer, and at least one reinforcement layer disposed within the belt between the pulley cover layer and the carry cover layer. The belt has a first edge section, a second edge section, and a load carrying section. The first edge section and the second edge section are located on each side of the conveyor belt, and the load carrying section is located between the first second edge sections. The reinforcement layer is comprised of a woven fabric which has weft threads extending across the width of the belt and passing into both the first edge section and the second edge section of the conveyor belt. The woven fabric also has warp threads located in the load carrying section of the conveyor belt extending longitudinally throughout the belt without passing into either the first or the second edge section.
Adhesive Formulations for Fabric/POE Adhesion
Embodiments of this invention relate to a composition comprising of (A) an anhydride and/or carboxylic acid functionalized, chlorinated olefin-based polymer and/or (b) a styrene-based polymer and/or a functionalized styrene-based polymer, (B) a polyamide wax slurry, and (C) organic solvent, and which composition can be used as an adhesive to bond a fabric to a polyolefin elastomer (POE) thermoplastic sheet, articles made from the composition, and methods of producing the composition and articles.
NONWOVEN CELLULOSE FIBER FABRIC WITH TAILORED LIQUID WICKING CAPABILITY
It is described a nonwoven cellulose fiber fabric directly manufactured from a lyocell spinning solution. The fabric comprises a network of substantially endless fibers. The fabric is characterized by at least one of the following features: (i) a rate of liquid spread is at least 3000 mm2 within 5 minutes; (ii) a water absorbing capability is characterized by a wicking speed of at least 0.25 gram water per 1 gram fabric and 1 second. It is further described a method and a device for manufacturing such a fabric, a product or composite comprising such a fabric, and various use applications for such a fabric.
Rubber Composition and Layered Body
A rubber composition of the present technology includes: a diene polymer containing a butadiene rubber; and a polyhydric alcohol, a content of the polyhydric alcohol being from 0.5 parts by mass to 14 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the diene polymer.
Thermoplastic elastomeric (TPE) pipe conveyor belts
A pipe belt system comprising one or more thermoplastic elastomeric (TPE) layers and a reinforcement layer is disclosed. The one or more thermoplastic elastomeric (TPE) layers have a first modulus of elasticity and a first stiffness and formed across a width of the belt. The reinforcement layer is formed proximate to the one or more TPE layers and has a second modulus of elasticity and a second stiffness. The pipe belt is configured to have an open state where the belt is substantially flat and a closed state where the belt is formed having a circular shape and partially overlaps itself. The pipe belt has a combined modulus of elasticity based on the first modulus of elasticity and the second modulus of elasticity and a combined stiffness based on the first stiffness and the second stiffness.
MATERIAL WITH AT LEAST TWO LAYER COVERINGS
A material based on fibre-reinforced materials such as carbon-fibre reinforced plastics, prepegs, towpregs, with at least one locally pre-treated polymer covering. The covering has a hardness gradient, that is, from harder to softer from the inside to the surface of the covering.
Conveyor Belt
A conveyor belt includes an upper cover rubber and a lower cover rubber disposed above and below a core layer; and a protective fiber layer made from high strength fiber disposed at least in a central portion of the upper cover rubber in a belt width direction and extending continuously in a belt longitudinal direction; an elastic modulus E of the protective fiber layer in the belt longitudinal direction being a low elastic modulus E1 equal to or less than a predetermined value when a tension in the belt longitudinal direction acting on the conveyor belt is equal to or less than a setting tension Ts, and being a high elastic modulus E2 higher than the low elastic modulus E1 when a predetermined high tension higher than the setting tension Ts is acting on the conveyor belt.
Conveyor Belt
A conveyor belt includes core layers made of fabric disposed between an upper cover rubber and a lower cover rubber. At least one core layer has a strength in the belt width direction ranging from 30% to 70% of a strength in the belt longitudinal direction.
RUBBER COMPOSITION, LAMINATE AND CONVEYOR BELT
Provided is a rubber composition having excellent adhesiveness with reinforcing members, particularly reinforcing members in environmental degradation. The rubber composition is obtainable by compounding a rubber component containing a diene based rubber, a rosin based resin and a carbon black, wherein: a compounding amount of the rosin based resin is 3 parts by mass or more per 100 parts by mass of the diene based rubber.
DIRECTIONALLY REINFORCED PRODUCTS AND RELATED METHOD
A stitch-bonded tape or other directionally stabilized product wherein stitch-bonding is carried out by overstitching yarns stitched through a sheeting or other surface substrate in conjunction with the introduction of high tenacity lay-in yarn elements disposed longitudinally in the machine direction of formation to provide strength in the length direction. The overstitching yarns secure the lay-in yarns in place relative to the surface substrate. An adhesive or other coating is disposed in covering relation to the lay-in yarn elements.
