A laminate material layer is affixed to at least one surface of the composite belt structure to improve one or more performance properties of the composite belt structure. A belt for suspending and/or driving an elevator car includes a plurality of tension elements extending longitudinally along a length of the belt, and a plurality of yarns interlaced with the plurality of tension elements forming a composite belt structure. A sheath encloses at least one tension element of the plurality of tension elements. The sheath is formed from a flowable material to bind the tension element to the plurality of yarns, and/or adjacent tension elements.
Embedded magnetic rip inserts using printing technologies
A printed magnetic rip insert and system for monitoring conveyor belts using printed rip inserts is disclosed. The system includes: a plurality of printed rip insert elements on a substrate of a conveyor belt; a field generator for generating a magnetic field proximate the printed rip insert elements; and a detector for detecting an image of a magnetic field produced by the plurality of printed rip inserts.
CONVEYOR BELT AND METHOD TO PRODUCE IT
Conveyor belt (10) comprising a first layer (11) configured to support objects, a second layer (12) underlying the first layer (11), a mesh net (13) disposed, or embedded, at least partially, inside the second layer (12) and a third layer (20) adhering to the second intermediate layer (12) and comprising at least one reinforcing material (21).
Acrylic-free conveyor belt
A conveyor belt includes a bottom fabric layer having a lower first surface forming a backside of the conveyor belt and an upper first surface, wherein the lower first surface is impregnated with an impregnation having: a) one or more thermoplastic polyolefins selected from the group consisting of ethene homopolymers, propene homopolymers, ethene/-olefin copolymers, propene/-olefin copolymers and terpolymers of ethene with two or more different -olefins; and b) a thermoplastic polymeric dispersing agent containing repetitive units derived from at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer of a comparatively lipophilic nature and from at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer of a comparatively hydrophilic nature and earring an anionic carboxylate group. A process for the manufacture of such belts includes applying the thermoplastic polyolefin(s) and the thermoplastic polymeric dispersing agent as an aqueous dispersion and heating the lower first surface having the dispersion applied thereonto.
Laminated papermaking belt
Disclosed is a two layered belt useful in the manufacture of tissue products comprising a first woven layer and a second nonwoven layer joined together in a laminated arrangement. The woven layer typically forms the machine contacting layer of the belt and is woven from a highly abrasion resistant material, while the nonwoven layer contacts the nascent tissue web. The woven layer may be provided with valleys and ridges that the nascent web is molded into, while the nonwoven layer may be provided with elements that impart a visually aesthetic pattern to the web. In this manner the belt may be useful in the production of products having desirable physical properties resulting from molding into the woven fabric while also being visually pleasing to the user.
FILMS AND ARTICLES MADE WITH THERMOPLASTIC BLOCK COPOLYMERS
The present invention relates to printing blankets, pipe liners, conveyor belts, inflatable articles, collapsible containers, protective clothing, and other types of coated fabrics that are manufactured with a thermoplastic block copolymer (TBC). This TBC can be a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), a copolyester (COPE), a copolyamide (COPA) or a polyurethaneurea (TPUU). The subject invention more specifically discloses a printing blanket or printing sleeve and a cured in place liner for a passageway or pipe. The TBC is (I) the reaction product of (1) a hydrophobic polyol or polyamine, (2) a polyisocyanate or an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, and (3) a linear chain extender containing 2 to 20 carbon atoms, or (II) the reaction product of (1) a hydrophobic polyol or polyamine, and (2) a carboxyl terminated telechelic polyamide sequence.
Abrasion-detection type conveyor belt and manufacturing method thereof
Provided are an abrasion-detection type conveyor belt and a manufacturing method thereof. A polymer composition ratio of is set to 40-60% of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) and 60-40% of natural rubber (NR), and an adhesive strength between a cover rubber layer and an abrasion-detection color layer is set to 13 kN/m (33 kgf/inch). As compared to the existing product, material properties of the abrasion-detection color layer are improved to extend the available life of the abrasion detection type conveyor belt. The abrasion-detection type conveyor belt is cost-effective, simplifies a belt line, and reduces an inspection time.
