Container and method for manufacturing container

There is provided a container that makes it possible to suppress intrusion of bacteria from the tip of a pleat part into the inside of the container. The container includes: a main body that includes a body part defining a containing portion and a flange part extending outward from an upper portion of the body part; and a lid that is joined to the flange part of the main body via an outer edge seal portion so as to cover the containing portion, the lid being formed by a lid member folded back at a fold-back portion such that portions of the lid member overlap each other. The lid has: a pleat part that includes the portions of the lid member overlapping each other and that extends from an edge of one side to an edge of the other side of the lid in a first direction; and a first lid part and a second lid part that are formed by the lid member and that are arranged on opposite sides of the pleat part. The pleat part includes: a pleat seal portion in which inner surfaces of the portions of the lid member are joined together and that extends from the edge of the one side to the edge of the other side of the lid in the first direction; and a steam passing portion that includes a through hole or a cutout formed in the pleat seal portion. Seal strength of the pleat seal portion is lower than that of the outer edge seal portion.

Use of graphene-polymer composites to improve barrier resistance of polymers to liquid and gas permeants

A packaging material comprising a graphene-reinforced polymer matrix composite (G-PMC) is disclosed. The packaging material has improved barrier resistance to gas and liquid permeants. Also disclosed is a method of improving barrier resistance of a polymer to a permeant, the method comprising forming a graphene-reinforced polymer matrix composite within the polymer. The packaging material may be used for packaging food, drug, perfume, etc. and to make various containers.

PACKAGE FOR DISPENSING DUAL-PHASE COSMETIC COMPOSITION

A rinse-off hair treatment product with a multi-chamber tube package that can contain a dual-phase rinse-off hair treatment composition that can provide a warming sensation and hair conditioning. The multi-chamber tube package can be a tube-in-tube package with an outer tube with an outer chamber that contains a conditioning composition and an inner tube with an inner chamber that contains a warming composition. The inner chamber is fluidly connected to one or more central orifices by an inner nozzle channel and the outer channel is fluidly connected to one or more outer orifices by an outer channel. The ratio of the area of the central orifice(s) to the outer orifice(s) can be greater than 1. The ratios can help the product dispense as a single stream with two visible phases, which has been found to prompt the consumer to intuitively mix the composition, thereby activating a warming sensation.

A composite molded cargo body panel including a core, an interior skin secured to a first side of the core having a thickness, and exterior skin secured to a second side of the core, and a recess. The core thickness at the recess is reduced compared to a maximum core thickness, and the recess defines a support surface. A pocket is formed in the recess, with the core thickness at the pocket being less than the core thickness at the recess. A logistics insert is attached to the support surface of recess so that, at the recess, the logistics insert extends across the pocket.
