Scrim-reinforced cushion mat for carpet tiles
A carpet tile includes a textile top member and a cushion mat that is coupled with the textile top member via a thermoplastic material. The textile top member includes carpet yarns and a backing that is coupled with the carpet yarns so that the backing structurally supports the carpet yarns. The cushion mat includes a polymeric material component having polymer fibers that are randomly oriented and entangled together and a scrim reinforcement that is disposed within the polymeric material component. The scrim reinforcement reinforces and stabilizes the polymeric material component and is entirely covered and concealed by the intermeshed polymer fibers.
RECYCLABLE TUFTED FABRIC AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
Recyclable tufted fabrics and methods of preparing the same are provided. In particular, the recyclable tufted fabric includes a fabric backing, a plurality of yarns tufted through the fabric backing such that a pile is provided at a first surface of the fabric backing and a plurality of yarn loops are provided at a second surface of the fabric backing, and a liquid adhesive that anchors the plurality of yarn loops to the second surface of the fabric backing.
THREE-LAYERED CORE-SPUN WEBBING, AND SEAT COMPRISING WEBBING
Disclosed are a piece of three-layer core-spun webbing, and a seat comprising the webbing. The webbing comprises a woven layer and an inner core, wherein the inner core comprises a filling layer and an interlayer, the interlayer is filled with the filling layer, and an outer surface of the interlayer is in contact with an inner surface of the woven layer. The webbing of the invention has a high tensile strength and a good elasticity, can quickly dry, and is round.
FIRE RETARDANT ABSORPTION MAT
A floor mat for use in a commercial aircraft application includes a base carpet-like section made of a fire rated material. A backing film layer is mounted to a bottom of the base carpet-like section. This mounting may be made, for example, using an intervening adhesive layer or through a direct attachment using an inherent adhesive property of the backing film layer. The backing film layer (and any adhesive layer that is used) is made of a fire retardant material. The base carpet-like section is porous and absorbent, and the backing film layer provides a moisture barrier as well as an anti-slip feature.
Garment incorporating aqueous polyurethane dispersions having altered stress profile
Articles, such as garments, including films comprising dried aqueous polyurethane dispersions are disclosed, whereby the garment has an altered stress which is exhibited during wear of the garment. The film may be bonded to the fabric of the article to provide a fabric or film laminate.
Washable Carpet Tile
This invention relates to tufted floorcovering articles that are washable in commercial, industrial, and/or residential washing machines. In particular, this invention relates to modular carpet tiles that are constructed in such a way as to withstand exposure to at least one wash cycle in an automatic washing machine. The carpet tiles are designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications such as entryway floorcovering articles. A further advantage includes the ability to print advertising logos on the carpet tiles and easily change out the advertising logos as desired. Both features of the carpet tile of the present invention are achievable, at least in part, because the surface of the tile that contacts the floor does not require any type of adhesive in order to use the carpet tile for its intended function.
TUFTED CARPET
A tufted carpet comprising a secondary backing which defines a volume being a parallelepiped having three pair of parallel faces, a first pair of parallel faces defining a upper surface of the secondary backing and a lower face of the tufted carpet, at least a second pair of parallel faces being inclined with respect to the first pair of parallel faces under an angle α1 less than 90°, preferably in the range of 10 to 87°, the angle being the smallest angle measured between the planes defining the first pair of parallel faces and second pair of parallel faces.
Sound protection panel for cladding a wall of an automotive vehicle
The invention relates to a sound protection panel for cladding a wall of an automotive vehicle, the panel includes a mass-spring system. The panel has a lower spring layer based on a resiliently compressible material, an upper mass layer based on resiliently compressible foam flakes, the flakes being bound together by a two-component fibre-based bonding agent comprising a core. The core is fusible at a high temperature or infusible, and a sheath fusible at a lower temperature, the flakes being fused with the sheath to form an upper agglomerated layer.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING AN UNEVEN ADHESIVE LAYER
A method for protecting a surface portion is disclosed. The method includes providing an adhesive layer on a surface of a protective layer, the adhesive layer having a first surface that is adhered to the surface of the protective layer, providing an uneven second surface to the adhesive layer, the uneven second surface disposed on an opposite side of the adhesive layer as the first surface, and attaching the protective layer to the surface portion by attaching the uneven second surface of the adhesive layer to an uneven surface of the surface portion.
