APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR APPLYING BAR CODES TO PELLET-SHAPED ARTICLES
A conveyer mechanism (110) may include one or more composition inspection units provided along the intended product transport path. The product's composition, e.g., it's ink composition, is compared with a predetermined standard, to determine whether the product is acceptable. A bar code (48, 45.1, 47.1, 85) may be provided to an external surface of the article for identification/traceability purposes.
Device and method for the dosing of active substances for the preparation of medicaments
The invention is directed to a method and a device for the dosing of active substances for the preparation of medicaments. In the context of the dosing method, one or more active substances dissolved in a liquid are stored in a storage container, and, in order to permit dosing, a number of drops corresponding to the desired amount of active substance are forced actively through a nozzle onto a substrate or into a collecting vessel; the device used for this purpose comprises at least one storage container for storage of a liquid, and one or more active substances dissolved therein, and also a nozzle through which a number of drops corresponding to the desired amount of active substance are forced out onto a substrate or into a collecting vessel.

PRINTING SYSTEM AND PRINTING METHOD
In a forward movement, an article is conveyed to a printing device via a transfer position while being kept mounted in a first holder for printing by the printing device. The article is returned to the transfer position together with the first holder after printing. An article to be printed after the above article is mounted into a second holder in parallel with at least a part of the forward movement, the printing and a return movement. This is capable of printing on the articles in a short throughput time also when the articles are those having a three-dimensional shape such as bottles and in-vehicle components.
Pharmaceutical formulation transporting device and pharmaceutical formulation printing device
Provided is a pharmaceutical formulation transporting device capable of easily ensuring a large exposed area of a solid pharmaceutical formulation during transport. A pharmaceutical formulation transporting device 10 comprises a first pulley 11, a second pulley 12, and a plurality of endless transport belts 13, 14 wound around the first pulley 11 and the second pulley 12, wherein the plurality of transport belts 13, 14 are disposed so as to be capable of holding a solid pharmaceutical formulation between respective first side surfaces.

Apparatus, System and Method for Facilitating Tracking of Consumable Pharmaceutical Articles
Embodiments of an apparatus, system and method for facilitating the tracking of consumable pharmaceutical articles are disclosed. A marking apparatus is configured to apply unique indelible identifiers to pharmaceutical articles at the point-of-sale. The indelible identifiers on the articles are visually or electronically readable to allow each respective article to be traced with respect to its manufacturer, prescribing physician, patient to whom it was prescribed, dispensing location, expiration date, dosage, or some combination thereof. An associated system and method may involve the provision of a remote database element configured to be in network communication between the marking apparatus, manufacturer, distributor, prescriber, dispensing location, scanning tool, or some combination thereof. The indelible identifier may initially be generated by the apparatus and then obtained and recorded by the remote database element. Alternative, the indelible identifier may initially be generated and recorded by the remote database element, then provided to the marking apparatus.
