In an editing device, a controller is configured to perform: editing; and displaying. The editing edits print data for a composite label to be created by affixing at least one overlay label to a base label. A printer is configured to perform a single printing operation using an ink ribbon to print an object on a tape in a single printing color thereby creating a single label. The editing includes: determining a printing color of an object; categorizing the object to one of a base object and an overlay object; and setting a print mode to one of a shortest length mode in which a single overlay label is created for each overlay object and a fewest prints mode in which a single overlay label is created for all overlay objects having a same printing color. The displaying displays a composite label image based on the print data.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING BEVERAGE USE CAN, BEVERAGE USE CAN, AND PRINTING DEVICE
20230001709 · 2023-01-05 · ·

A method for manufacturing a beverage use can, which is provided with a cylindrical part with one end portion and the other end portion, a bottom part positioned at the one end portion of the cylindrical part, the bottom part having an outer circumferential surface with an outer diameter gradually increasing with a move toward the other end portion of the cylindrical part, includes a protection layer forming process applying ink to the outer circumferential surface of the bottom part to form a protection layer on the outer circumferential surface.

Industrial printer

A high speed tabletop and industrial printer is disclosed with integrated high speed RFID encoding and verification at the same time. The industrial printer simultaneously prints on and electronically encodes/verifies RFID labels, tags, and/or stickers attached to a continuous web. The industrial printer comprises a lighted sensor array for indexing the printing to the RFID tags; and a cutter powered from the industrial printer for cutting the web that the RFID tags are disposed on. The industrial printer comprises two RFID reader/writers that are individually controlled. Specifically, one of the RFID reader/writers comprises the ability to electronically encode the RFID tags while the web is moving; and the second RFID reader/writer uses an additional RFID module and antenna on the printer for verifying the data encoded to the RFID tags.

Method for manufacturing cans for beverage, and beverage can manufacturing method

A can body that has been subjected to outer surface painting (OV), inner surface painting (INS), and a neck process (SDN) but that has not been subjected to image formation is manufactured in a canning factory. The can body that has not been subjected to image formation is shipped to a beverage can manufacturing factory. At the beverage can manufacturing factory, an image formation process using a printer (PR) is performed. Specifically, ink is ejected from an inkjet head toward the can body, to thereby form an image on the outer circumferential surface of the can body. Thereafter, the can body is filled with beverage in a filler (FL), and then a can lid is attached to the can body in a seamer (SM).

A method for manufacturing an engineered stone, the method including: providing a mixture comprising at least a stone or stone like material and a binder; compacting the mixture; curing the binder; and further comprising printing a printed pattern on at least a top surface of the engineered stone.

Fluorescent Printing on Fabric for Use as Control Input to Automated Positioning Equipment
20230234371 · 2023-07-27 ·

A method of using an automated system to position a fabric piece. A pattern is printed onto a fabric piece with fluorescent ink, and detected with a fluorescence-detecting camera, such as a UV camera. The detected pattern is stored in a controller as a pattern signature and compared to a stored target pattern. The results of the comparing step are used to generate control signals for the automated system to move the piece into the position of the target pattern.

Printing apparatus

A printing apparatus includes: a print head; a main body having an accommodation part accommodating a printing medium; an opening/closing cover supported by the main body to be swingable between a closed position and an opened position, the opening/closing cover covering the accommodation part in a case the opening/closing cover is in the opened position, the opening/closing cover opening the accommodation part in a case the opening/closing cover is in the opened position; a support member provided to the opening/closing cover; and a platen holder provided to the support member and configured to rotatably support a platen roller, the platen roller being configured to convey the printing medium at a position facing the print head in the case the opening/closing cover is in the closed position.

Glass Container Having an Inkjet Printed Image and a Method for the Manufacturing Thereof

The present invention is directed to a glass container having an outer glass surface with an inkjet printed image provided on said surface, characterized in that a CEC with a thickness between 0 to 20 nm is present between the outer glass surface and the inkjet printed image. Such glass container is preferably a one-way beverage bottle. In addition, the present invention is directed to a method of inkjet printing an image on a glass container comprising the steps of: a) manufacturing a glass container having a CEC layer; b) removing at least part of the CEC layer to a level wherein the remaining CEC layer has a thickness of 0 to 20 nm; c) inkjet printing an image on the glass container
