MOUNTING SYSTEMS FOR PRINT MEDIUM SUPPORTING STRUCTURES
Disclosed herein is a mounting system for mounting a print medium supporting structure in a printing device, a printing device and a method of operating a printing device. The mounting system comprises a carrier assembly that is to carry the supporting structure. The carrier assembly comprises a bushing element to movably mount the carrier assembly on a guiding rod in the printing device. The bushing element comprises a first bushing that is to slidably receive the guiding rod and to allow for a tilting motion of the carrier assembly relative to the guiding rod around a first axis perpendicular to the guiding rod. The carrier assembly further comprises a flexible element to couple the supporting structure to the carrier assembly. The flexible element is to allow for a tilting motion of the supporting structure relative to the carrier assembly around a second axis different from the first axis.

Printer, control method, and non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-readable instructions
A processor of a printer conveys a platen relative to a head in a conveyance direction, toward a printing position. The printing position is a position at which a nozzle surface of the head faces the platen in a discharge direction. The printer is provided with a first sensor. The first sensor detects a print medium positioned at a first detection position. The first detection position is a position separated from the nozzle surface in the discharge direction. When the print medium is detected by the first sensor after a start of conveyance of the platen, the processor moves the platen relative to the nozzle surface and separates the platen from the nozzle surface in the discharge direction. After that, the processor conveys the platen relative to the head in the conveyance direction, toward the printing position.
PRINTER
A printer includes: a liquid discharger configured to discharge a liquid onto a print target; a carriage configured to move the liquid discharger in a main scanning direction; a holder configured to hold the print target and relatively move the print target in a sub-scanning direction orthogonal to the main scanning direction to cause the print target to face the liquid discharger; and multiple height detectors at different positions in the sub-scanning direction, the multiple height detectors configured to detect the print target on the holder.
INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS AND HEAD POSITION DETERMINING METHOD
An inkjet recording apparatus captures an image of a recording surface of a recording medium including a test pattern recorded on the recording surface, calculates an interval between the test pattern and a reference position on the recording surface based on the image of the recording surface, and determines a height position of the recording head according to the recording medium based on the interval. The inkjet recording apparatus outputs information related to the determined height position.
A PRINTING SYSTEM
A printing system to be used in a filling machine (20) for printing to a web of packaging material (2) is provided. The printing system (1) comprises a primary roller (10) configured to guide the web of packaging material (2) along its surface, and at least one printing head (4) configured to discharge a colouring substance onto the web of packaging material (2) as it is guided by the primary roller (10). The primary roller (10) further comprises at least one heating element (12) for controlling the radius of the primary roller (10).
PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONVEYANCE CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
There is provided a printing apparatus. A first roller nips and conveys, in a conveyance direction, a printing medium. A second roller nips and conveys a printing medium at a downstream side of the first roller in the conveyance direction. A print unit prints an image on a printing medium conveyed by the second roller. A control unit, until printing by the print unit reaches a vicinity of a trailing end of a print length, sets a nip pressure of the first roller to a first pressure, and when printing by the print unit reaches the vicinity of the trailing end of the print length, sets the nip pressure of the first roller to a second pressure that is greater than the first pressure.

Image forming apparatus including a plurality of gap adjusters
An image forming apparatus includes a conveyer belt that transports sheets, a platen plate that supports the conveyer belt to be slidable, a head holding unit that holds inkjet heads ejecting ink to sheets transported on the conveyer belt and being arrayed in a direction orthogonal to a transport direction of the conveyer belt, and a pair of gap adjustment units that have ends on one side being respectively attached to both ends of a lower surface of the head holding unit and ends on the other side being attached to an upper surface of the platen plate to adjust a gap between the lower surface of the head holding unit and the upper surface of the platen plate.
