Printing device
A printing device includes a medium holding portion a medium holding portion on which a medium is placed, a discharge unit, a holding portion, a first displacement mechanism, a second displacement mechanism, and a contacting portion of the medium holding portion. The discharge unit is configured to discharge an object to the medium placed on the medium holding portion. The holding portion is configured to hold the discharge unit. The first displacement mechanism is configured to displace a relative position of the medium and the discharge unit along a placement surface of the medium. The second displacement mechanism is configured to displace the medium holding portion along a height direction. The contacting portion configured to come in contact with a contacted portion located at a surface of the medium holding portion, the medium placed on the surface.
Printer
A printer includes a liquid discharge head configured to discharge a liquid to a print target, a holder configured to hold the print target, and a height detector configured to detect the print target on the holder at a first height and at a second height lower than the first height.
PRINT APPARATUS
Disclosed is a print apparatus (1) comprising a platen (2), a support (3) to receive a driver (11), and an adjustment mechanism (4), coupled or couplable to the platen (2), to cause movement of the platen (2) relative to the support (3) in use. The adjustment mechanism (4) comprises an interface (5) connectable to the driver (11) to receive input motion from the driver (11) to thereby cause the movement of the platen (2) relative to the support (3).

Liquid discharge apparatus and liquid discharge method
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a platen to hold a medium; a liquid discharge head to discharge a liquid onto the medium on the platen according to discharge instruction information containing a type of the platen as a designated platen type; an operation panel to display a selection operation screen in which a type of the platen is selectable from the multiple platen types as a selected platen type; and circuitry to: control the operation panel to display the selection operation screen; determine whether the selected platen type matches a first specific platen type; determine whether the designated platen type matches a second specific platen type; control the operation panel to display warning in response to a determination; and control the liquid discharge head to continue to discharge the liquid in response to a determination.

Head bar unit and printing apparatus including head bar unit
There is provided a head bar unit including a head bar, an adjuster and a movement. The head bar includes a plurality of heads. The adjuster is supported by the head bar, and is configured to adjust positions in a vertical direction of the heads. The movement is configured to move the head bar and the adjuster in the vertical direction. The adjuster includes a motor, a rotator and a stopper. The rotator includes a plurality of contact portions. The rotator is configured to be rotated by the motor around a rotating shaft. The stopper is located at a position facing the rotator in the vertical direction, and is configured to position the rotator in the vertical direction, by making contact with one of the contact portions.
RECONFIGURABLE SUPPORT PADS FOR FABRIC IMAGE TRANSFERS
The techniques described herein relate generally to reconfigurable support pads for fabric image transfers. Specifically, according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, reconfigurable support pads are provided for fabric image transfers (e.g., silk screening, heat transfer, direct-to-garment printing, etc.). In particular, the techniques herein provide for various adjustable configurations of portions of the fabric substrate support, which may be changed for different thicknesses of garments, and more particularly, that allow for varied thicknesses found on the same garment. For example, by configuring the support in a first “flat” configuration, a plain tee shirt may lay flat, and then configuring the support in a second “two-tiered” configuration, with one portion lower (or higher) than the other, allows for a hoodie with a thicker pocket portion at the “belly” of the garment to also lay flat. Other configurations are also available, whether manually adjusted or else dynamically controlled (e.g., using actuators) based on the type of garment selected on an associated control system.
Printer having a mechanism for positioning a platen
A printer is provided with a platen support member, a platen, and a positioning portion. The platen support member supports the platen. The platen includes a rear engaging portion. The positioning portion includes a rear roller. The rear roller is provided at the platen support member, and can move in the front-rear direction with respect to the platen support member. The rear roller engages with the rear engaging portion in a state in which the platen is supported by the platen support member. The positioning portion positions the platen at a prescribed printing position in the front-rear direction, by the rear roller moving forward in a state in which the rear engaging portion is engaged with the rear roller.
