An image forming apparatus includes a sheet supporting portion, a regulating portion, a feeding portion, an image forming unit, a sheet detection unit, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to execute, in a state where an image forming job in which an image is formed by the image forming unit is interrupted, a drive processing of the feeding portion such that (a) the feeding portion is driven at a first timing if the regulating portion is not set to a moved state within a predetermined period of time from when the sheet detection unit has detected the sheet, and (b) the feed portion is driven at a second timing later than the first timing if the regulating portion is set to the moved state within the predetermined period of time from when the sheet detection unit has detected the sheet.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus performs skew correction by bringing a leading end of a conveyed sheet in contact with a registration roller pair being in a stopped state and by forming a first loop with a loop roller pair, and thereafter, refeeds the sheet to an image former by adjusting timing. In a case of feeding a sheet with a length equal to or longer than a prescribed length, after having formed the first loop, the image forming apparatus forms a second loop in a loop accommodator that is disposed on an upstream side than the loop roller pair and accommodates a formed loop.

However, a conveyance passage used for conveying a short sheet-type medium is usable in at least one of a first state where the cutting device is unusable or a second state where the sheet-type medium is unable to pass through the cutting device. A necessary condition to make both the long sheet-type medium and the short sheet-type medium selectable includes the detector detecting neither the first status nor the second status. A necessary condition to make the long sheet-type medium unselectable and make the short sheet-type medium selectable includes the detector detecting one of the first status and the second status.

A system for controlling an operation of feeding recording media from a plurality of physical medium containers of an output apparatus includes at least one memory to store output-related media/container information including logical information, property information of the recording media, and information of the plurality of physical medium containers by associating the logical information and the property information of the recording media, and associating the logical information and the information of the plurality of physical medium containers, and circuitry configured to generate an output instruction including logical information, extract the logical information from the output instruction, and identify one or more physical medium containers each containing a specific recording medium to be used in performing an image forming operation by referring the property information of the recording media and the information of the plurality of physical medium containers each associated with the extracted logical information in the memory.
INK-JET RECORDING APPARATUS
An ink-jet recording apparatus includes: an image recorder; a first supporter including support ribs extending to positions under the image recorder; an ink receiver disposed downstream of the support ribs; first and second roller pairs disposed downstream of the first supporter; a guide; and a protrusion disposed between the ink receiver and the first roller pair and having an upper end located below upper ends of the support ribs and above a first imaginary line connecting between a nip position of the first roller pair and a downstream end of the ink receiver. A distance between an upstream end of the ink receiver and a nip position of the second roller pair is less than a length of a first-size sheet and greater than a length of a second-size sheet. The protrusion is disposed, in a widthwise direction, in a region through which the second-size sheet is conveyed.
Image forming apparatus and feed tray
An image forming apparatus includes: a feed tray accommodating a roll body, a first sheet-shaped medium being rolled in a roll shape as the roll body; and a feed roller configured to apply a conveying force to the first sheet-shaped medium unrolled from the roll body and to feed the first sheet-shaped medium from the feed tray. The feed tray includes: a first accommodation portion accommodating the roll body; a second accommodation portion accommodating a plurality of second sheet-shaped media stacked in a first direction; and a path member located between the first accommodation portion and the feed roller. The path member includes a partition member partitioning the second sheet-shaped medium accommodated in the second accommodation portion and the first sheet-shaped medium unrolled from the roll body in the first direction.
RECORDING APPARATUS
There is provided a recording apparatus including a liquid jetting unit, a container unit, a receiving unit, a conveyance unit and a controller. The controller is configured to carry out: determining whether or not it is necessary to stop and dry the liquid jetted recording medium in the conveyance path and controlling the conveyance unit to stop the recording medium in the conveyance path under a condition that the controller determines that it is necessary to dry the recording medium.

The image forming device comprises a first medium container configured to accommodate the rolled-type medium by winding a long sheet-type medium in a roll, a second medium container configured to accommodate the plurality of sheet-type media in a stacked manner, a medium conveyer, an image forming device configured to form an image on the sheet-type medium, a cutting device configured to cut the rolled-type medium, and a controller. The medium conveyer conveys the plurality of sheet-type media accommodated in the second medium container even in a case where an error occurs in an operation related to printing on the rolled-type medium accommodated in the first medium container.
