PRINTER APPARATUS

A printer including a printing part which prints on a recording paper; a cutter part which cuts the recording paper; and a conveying part which includes a conveying route having a curving shape and through which the recording paper conveyed through the cutter part is conveyed; a conveying route cover which is attached to the conveying part and covers a portion of the conveying route; and a flapper which is provided at a curved portion of the conveying route, has a curved shape, and is rotatably attached to the conveying route cover so as to rotatably open or close relative to a main body of the printer, wherein the conveying route cover and the flapper are movable together so as to separate from or contact the main body.

Duplex printing

A duplex printing system and method of configuring the same are described. In examples, an image, such as a test pattern, on one side of a print substrate is printed to be out of phase with an image, such as a test pattern, on the other side of the print substrate. This is achieved by adjusting a configuration of a print buffer that is located between first and second print engines of the duplex printing system. In particular examples, a length of a web within the print buffer is controlled such that the images are out of phase.

Printer apparatus with flapper attached to conveying route cover

Recording device

A recording device includes a carriage including a recording head configured to discharge liquid onto a medium and being movable in an intersecting direction, the intersecting direction intersecting a transport direction of the medium, a suction platen facing the recording head and being configured to suck the medium, a transport mechanism provided upstream from the suction platen in the transport direction and configured to transport the medium downstream in the transport direction, a drying unit located downstream from the recording head in the transport direction, a medium suction mechanism configured to suck the medium fed to the drying unit, and a controller configured to control the transport mechanism. The controller is configured to form a curved portion by curving between the drying unit and the suction platen in the transport direction, a part of the medium.

Curl Resistant Web Handling System

A web handling system is disclosed. The web handling system includes first dancer rollers coupled to engage and move a web of a print medium in a forward and backward direction upon stopping a printing operation and allow forward motion during the printing operation.

CLAMPING DEVICE FOR A PRINTABLE MEDIUM

A clamping device for a feed of a printable medium comprises a clamp to clamp the printable medium; and a force transfer mechanism to press the clamp against the printable medium; wherein the clamp comprises a magnet to increase a force onto the printable medium during clamping.

A printing machine for printing on a web includes a first roller and a second roller between which the web forms a loop. A trough for pneumatically guiding the loop equidistantly to the major part of the length of curvature of the trough is provided between the first roller and the second roller.

Web buffers with synchronous moving carriages

A printing device that may include a first print engine, a second print engine, and a web buffer device disposed between the first and second print engines to maintain an amount of web substrate therein, wherein the web buffer includes a first and second movable carriage, with at least one rotatable roller coupled to each of the two carriages and wherein the first and second movable carriages move synchronously away and toward each other to alter an amount of web present in the web buffer.

A receipt printer comprises a discharge port configured to discharge a receipt; a conveyance section configured to convey a paper; a clamping section configured to clamp the paper in the front of the discharge port; and a controller configured to control the conveyance section to discharge the paper from the discharge port. The clamping section includes a fixed section and a movable section forming a paper insertion section, and the paper is clamped by the fixed section and the movable section if the paper is inserted into the paper insertion section. A paper conveyance direction in which the paper is directed to the paper insertion section is different from a paper discharge direction in which the paper is discharged from the discharge port. The controller controls the clamping section such that a front end of the paper is clamped with the clamping section by conveying the paper towards the paper insertion section and the paper is bent into a loop shape by further conveying the paper towards the paper insertion section from a state in which the paper is clamped by the clamping section to be discharged from the discharge port.
