The transmission antenna is connected to the first control board. The transmission antenna is configured to transmit, through near field communication, an ejection signal for controlling ejection of ink from the plurality of nozzles. The reception antenna is provided in the carriage. The reception antenna is configured to receive the ejection signal from the transmission antenna. The near field communication has a communication range smaller than a size of the casing.

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a transport mechanism which transports a medium in a transport direction, a carriage configured to reciprocally move in scanning directions which intersect the transport direction, a liquid ejecting head which is installed on the carriage, and a tube through which the liquid supplied from a liquid storage container to the liquid ejecting head passes. The liquid ejecting apparatus further includes a holding section which holds a waste liquid storage body configured to store a waste liquid. The tube includes a movable portion which forms a curved portion which curves toward downstream in the transport direction and which causes a formation position of the curved portion to move and a fixed portion which is not movable. The holding section is disposed between the fixed portion and a scanning region of the carriage in the transport direction.

CARRIAGE APPARATUS AND PRINTING APPARATUS

The carriage apparatus includes a carriage configured to reciprocally move in a first direction, a first motor arranged on a side of one end of a range of movement of the carriage and configured to drive the carriage, a second motor arranged on a side of the other end of the range of movement of the carriage and configured to drive the carriage, a carriage belt suspended between the first motor and the second motor, attached with the carriage, and configured to move the carriage in the first direction, and a support portion configured to mount the second motor so that the second motor is displaceable in the first direction with respect to the first motor.

The present disclosure provides an imaging apparatus (100) comprising a scanning printer carriage (110), a carriage motor (120), a transmission belt (130) between the carriage motor (120) and the scanning printer carriage (110), a data control unit (140) to provide print data (200) to the carriage motor (120) and the scanning printer carriage (110), and a power source (150) to provide power (300) to the carriage motor (120), and the scanning printer carriage (110). The data control unit (140) transmits print data (200) to the scanning printer carriage (110) by wireless data transfer (201), and the power source (150) transmits power (300) to the scanning printer carriage (110) through an electrically conductive element (302) in the transmission belt (130).

Grounding for media

Some examples include a grounding system for an image forming apparatus. The grounding system includes a lifting plate having a top surface for storing media and an interface, a cable having a first end and an opposing second end, the first end attached at the interface, a retainer attached to the lifting plate at the interface, the retainer releasably securing the cable to the lifting plate, and a winding spool coupled to the second end of the cable, the winding spool to transfer torque to the cable and to accommodate a length of cable wound around the winding spool. Each of the lifting plate, the cable, and the winding spool are electrically conductive to release electrostatic energy from the media.

Printing apparatus

There is provided with a printing apparatus. An ink tank stores ink to be supplied to a printhead configured to eject ink. An ink supply path supplies ink from the ink tank to the printhead. A conveying unit conveys a print medium to the printhead. A cover member is arranged so as to be able to open and close with respect to the printing apparatus. A manual valve is arranged in a region through which the print medium conveyed by the conveying unit passes and can be switched between an opening state in which the ink tank and the printhead communicate and a closing state. An operating portion is arranged at a position which is exposed when the cover member is opened and can be operated to switch the manual valve.

A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge head, a carriage mounted with the liquid discharge head, a tubular member connected to the carriage, and a holder to hold one end of the tubular member. The carriage reciprocates and scans in a main scanning direction, and includes a first area opposed to one end of the holder in a main scanning direction and a second area opposed to another end of the holder in the main scanning direction. The holder is scanned in conjunction with scanning of the carriage without being fixed to the carriage.
