Printing apparatus, carriage apparatus, and control method
A printing apparatus includes a carriage mounted with a printing unit configured to perform printing on a print medium, a first motor used to move the carriage, a second motor used together with the first motor to move the carriage, and a control unit configured to control the first motor and the second motor. When moving the carriage, the control unit controls the first motor with a first control amount and controls the second motor with a second control amount. The first control amount and the second control amount are different from each other, and a ratio therebetween is a predetermined ratio.
Apparatus for flexible flat cable
Examples of an apparatus for flexible flat cable, installable within a print device, are described. The flexible flat cable may be connected to a print carriage assembly of the print device.
Liquid discharging apparatus
A liquid discharging apparatus includes a print head that discharges a liquid, a carriage that is mounted on the print head, a control signal generation circuit, a drive signal generation circuit, a first cable through which a drive signal generation control signal is transmitted to the drive signal generation circuit, a second cable through which a drive signal is transmitted to the print head, a control circuit substrate on which the control signal generation circuit is provided, and a drive circuit substrate on which the drive signal generation circuit is provided. The shortest distance between the control circuit substrate and the carriage is longer than the shortest distance between the drive circuit substrate and the carriage. The drive circuit substrate is provided at a position where a region in which the carriage moves and at least a part of the drive circuit substrate overlap each other.
Recording apparatus and recording method
A recording apparatus includes an ink tank, a carriage, a recording head mounted on the carriage, a carriage control unit, and a supply tube connected to the recording head and the ink tank and including a bent portion that moves with carriage movement. The carriage control unit moves the carriage in predetermined directions to record on a recording medium. Assuming that, of an acceleration/deceleration area of a carriage moving area, an area in which pressure changes to decrease negative pressure in the recording head is a first area, and an area in which the pressure changes to increase the negative pressure in the recording head is a second area, the carriage control unit moves the carriage so that an absolute value of acceleration or deceleration of the carriage in the first area is less than an absolute value of acceleration or deceleration of the carriage in the second area.
Printing Apparatus
There is provided a printing apparatus, including: a base; a thermal head including heating elements arranged in a first direction; a first engagement member; a second engagement member configured to engage with the first engagement member such that the thermal head pivotally moves, relative to the base, around a first axis extending in a second direction intersecting with the first direction; a head holding member being slidable with respect to the base in a third direction intersecting with the first direction and the second direction and holding the thermal head such that the heating elements face the third direction; a first magnetic member positioned on a first side in the first direction relative to the first engagement member; a second magnetic member positioned on the first side in the first direction relative to the second engagement member; and a head pressing member facing the head holding member from a first side in the third direction.
LARGE FORMAT PRINTER
A large format printer performs serial printing on a medium which is greater than or equal to A3 short side width. The large format printer includes a print head which performs printing in accordance with variations in a drive voltage signal which is applied to a drive element, a control circuit which generates a drive signal (an example of the drive voltage signal), and a cable which is greater than or equal to 1 m and transmits a power voltage signal (an example of a constant voltage signal) and the drive voltage for driving the print head from the control circuit to the print head. An overshooting prevention circuit which renders a voltage (a drive voltage) of the drive signal which is applied to the drive element less than or equal to a voltage (a power voltage) of the power voltage signal is disposed in the print head.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes a recording head, an ink supply section, a carriage, and a detection unit. The ink supply section supplies ink to the recording head. The carriage reciprocates in predetermined directions and is provided with the recording head and includes a passage junction to be connected to or disconnected from an ink passage formed between the ink supply section and the recording head. The detection unit converts a result of detecting a detection target into an electrical signal. One of the detection target and the detection unit is mounted in the carriage. The carriage has an ink guiding mechanism that guides the ink from a region positioned below the passage junction in a vertical direction to the detection target or an installation part for the detection unit.
Liquid discharge apparatus and head unit
A liquid discharge apparatus has a head provided with discharge sections which discharge a liquid, a drive circuit configured to generate driving signals for driving the discharge sections and discharging the liquid, a carriage mounted with the head and the drive circuit, and a carriage support section configured and arranged to support the carriage. A shortest distance between the carriage support section and the drive circuit is shorter than a shortest distance between the carriage support section and the discharge section which is closest to the carriage support section.
APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLED MOTION OF PRINTING UNITS AND PACKAGE MAKING MACHINE INCORPORATING SUCH APPARATUS
An apparatus (1) for controlled motion of one or more printing units (2) designed for printing images (I) on one or more faces (F) of a sheet material (M) that is designed to move in a feeding direction defining a longitudinal axis (L). The apparatus (1) is adapted to be associated with a machine (3) for cutting and creasing customized packages and comprises a stationary frame (10) defining an elongate transverse axis (T), at least one box-like support (12) for a corresponding printing unit (2), which is slidably mounted on transverse guide means (13) integral with the frame (10), drive means (26) for driving the box-like support (12) along transverse guide means (13), the drive means (26) comprise at least one section of a stationary and flexible belt (27) having a predetermined length (I) and end portions (28, 29) stably secured to the frame (10), as well as at least one powered roller (31) associated with the support (12), and having an intermediate portion (30) of the belt section (27) at least partially wound thereon for its rotation to promote the movement of the support (12) relative to the belt section (27). A machine (3) for cutting and creasing customized packages, comprising the apparatus for driving the printing units (2).
Liquid discharge apparatus and head unit
A liquid discharge apparatus has a head provided with discharge sections which discharge a liquid, a drive circuit configured to generate driving signals for driving the discharge sections and discharging the liquid, a carriage mounted with the head and the drive circuit, a motor configured to move the carriage, and a flushing box configured and arranged to receive the liquid discharged from the discharge sections.
