POLYOLEFIN COMPOSITION PROVIDING MARKING BY FLUORESCENCE
The present invention is directed to a polyolefin composition comprising carbon black which shows fluorescence when irradiated with UV light. The polyolefin composition of the present invention comprises a polyolefin, carbon black in an amount of 0.25 to 1.0 wt %, an optical brightener in an amount of 0.001 to 0.1 wt %, and a UV agent.
The present invention is further directed to a molded article comprising the polyolefin composition of the present invention. The present invention is further directed to a wire or cable comprising an outer layer comprising the polyolefin composition of the present invention. Finally, the present invention is directed to a method for detection of a polyolefin composition by UV light and to a method for detection of a molded article or a wire or cable by UV light.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PERSONALIZING SECURITY OR IDENTIFICATION OBJECTS
A device for personalizing security or identification objects including a laser processing station having a laser unit that personalizes an object located in a laser processing area. The laser processing station comprises a turntable with a first receiving area for receiving a first object and a second receiving area for receiving a second object. The turntable is mounted rotatably relative to the laser unit so that it can be rotated from a first rotational position into a second rotational position. In the first rotational position, the first object and in the second rotational position the second object are at least partially located in the laser processing area.

COLOR CUSTOMIZATION OF ARTICLES
Kits and methods are provided for color customization of articles by applying ink to regions of decreased pigment density. By creating tension over these regions during application of the ink, the ink may be preferentially transferred to those regions.
MEDIUM, CONTAINER, OBJECT-HOLDING CONTAINER, MARKING DEVICE, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CONTAINER
A medium, a container, an object-holding container, a marking, device, and a method of manufacturing the container. The medium includes an image of design, and the design includes a light color portion and a dark color portion, the light color portion including a light reflecting layer, and the dark color portion including a light attenuation layer The container includes a laser beam source to emit a laser beam, a forming unit to make the laser beam perform marking on a container that has transparency and is colorless or colored, and an adjuster to adjust a marking condition according to information about a to-lie-contained object stored in the container. The method includes irradiating the container with a laser beam to form a light reflecting layer and a light attenuation layer, and the light reflecting layer and the light attenuation layer includes an aggregate of microstructures.
Methods and systems for thermal printing of photonic crystal materials, and thermally printable photonic crystal materials and assemblies
Methods and systems for thermal printing of thermally printable photonic crystal materials and assemblies. The photonic crystal materials and assemblies are responsive to thermal stimuli, wherein temperatures above a thermal threshold results in an optically detectable change in the appearance of the materials and assemblies. Heat is selectively applied to one or more portions of the materials and assemblies, in order to thermally print a graphic onto the materials and assemblies.

CONCEALABLE MARKING
Systems and methods relate generally to a concealable marking. In an example, obtained is a printing device having a printhead, a plasma head, a platform, and a stencil holder. The printhead is configured to print to a surface of a medium. The plasma head is configured to provide a plasma. The platform is configured to support and transport the medium. The stencil holder is configured to hold a stencil between the surface of the medium and the plasma head. A region of the surface of the medium is covered with the stencil. The stencil defines at least one opening for exposure of a portion of the region of the surface. A plasma is generated with the plasma head. The portion of the surface of the medium is exposed to the plasma through the at least one opening to hydrophilize the portion of the surface thereof to provide the concealable marking.
