COATING COMPOSITIONS FOR APPLICATION UTILIZING A HIGH TRANSFER EFFICIENCY APPLICATOR AND METHODS AND SYSTEMS THEREOF
A coating composition for application to a substrate utilizing a high transfer efficiency applicator is provided herein. The coating composition includes a carrier, a binder, and a radar reflective pigment or a LiDAR reflective pigment. The coating composition has an Ohnesorge number (Oh) of from about 0.01 to about 12.6. The coating composition has a Reynolds number (Re) of from about 0.02 to about 6,200. The coating composition has a Deborah number (De) of from greater than 0 to about 1730.
METHOD FOR FORMING STEREOSCOPIC PATTERNS OF PLASTIC FLOORBOARDS
A method for forming a stereoscopic pattern of a plastic floorboard, comprising: positioning a base board on a digital printing unit, wherein the base board has an outer surface; using the digital printing unit to print pigment on the outer surface of the base board according to a preset pattern to form a pattern layer, wherein the pattern of the pattern layer corresponds to or does not correspond to the stereoscopic pattern; using a first forming unit to form a protection layer on the pattern layer with a transparent melt plastic raw material; and using a second forming unit to form the stereoscopic pattern having a concave-convex structure on the protection layer.
Printer ink dryer units
In an example, a printer ink dryer unit comprises at least one ultraviolet light source to dry a printer ink layer by causing evaporation of a solvent fluid therefrom.

Printable recording medium
An example of a printable recording medium includes a base substrate and an ink-receiving layer. The ink-receiving layer includes an inorganic pigment in an amount equal to or greater than 70 wt % and an ink-fixing agent in an amount ranging from about 3 wt % to about 10 wt % based on the total wt % of the ink-receiving layer. The inorganic pigment has a median particle size ranging from about 0.5 μm to about 5 μm. The ink-receiving layer excludes precipitated calcium carbonate.
Method of Printing
The present invention relates to a flexographic printing process comprising: applying an energy-curable primer to at least a portion of a surface of a substrate; curing said energy-curable primer to form a cured primer layer on the substrate; applying a metallic ink to at least a portion of the cured primer layer; and curing or drying the metallic ink; wherein the energy-curable primer is applied using a flexographic printing process; and wherein the metallic ink is applied using a flexographic printing process which uses an anilox roller having a transfer volume of from about 6 cm.sup.3/m.sup.2 to about 30 cm.sup.3/m.sup.2.
Ink jet recording method and an ink jet recording apparatus
An ink jet method includes causing a treatment liquid to adhere to a recording medium; a white ink to adhere to the recording medium; and a non-white ink to adhere to the recording medium. The treatment liquid, white ink, and non-white ink are applied by main scans of a recording head and sub-scans of the recording medium that intersect the main scans. The recording head includes a first nozzle group arranged in the sub-scanning direction and discharging the treatment liquid, a second nozzle group arranged in the sub-scanning direction and discharging the white ink, and a third nozzle group arranged in the sub-scanning direction and discharging the non-white ink. The second and third nozzle groups have non-overlapping portions in the main scanning direction, and one or both of the second and third nozzle groups have a portion overlapping the first nozzle group in the main scanning direction.

Printing protective coatings
A method of printing a print media comprises printing an image onto a surface of a print media, and applying a protective coating over the surface of the print media using an analog printing process, wherein the protective coating comprises a plurality of micro openings.
Piezo-jettable varnish composition
Herein is described a piezo-jettable varnish composition comprising a latex polymer having a weight averaged molecular weight Mw of greater than about 50 000, a polymeric salt derived from an acidic polymer having a weight averaged molecular weight Mw in the range of about 1000 to about 50 000, water, and a co-solvent, wherein, the latex polymer and polymeric salt are present in amounts such that the ratio of latex polymer to polymeric salt by weight is in the range of greater than about 1:1 to about 8:1.
