Installation for processing round blank parts
A flexible installation for producing at least two types of coins. In particular, the different coin types have a different number of round blank parts and/or have round blank parts made of different materials. The type and number of work steps necessary to produce the coins of the coin type in question differ between the different coin types. The installation has a number of stations, in which a round blank part is supplied and/or output and/or processed and/or measured and/or tested. At least one transporting device acts to transport the at least one round blank part between the stations. Preferably, two transporting devices are present, which can be controlled independently of each other and cooperate via a transfer station for the at least one round blank part. A control device controls the at least one transporting device and the stations depending on the coin type to be produced.
Stencil Device for Forming Configurations in Deformable Material
A stencil device for forming configurations in deformable material includes a first member having ridge portions integrally joined to channel portions that promote the insertion of the ridge portions of the first member into deformable material; and a second member having ridge portions integrally joined to protrusion portions that promote the insertion of the ridge portions of the second member into deformable material; whereby, the first and second members ultimately form a design pattern across a preselected surface of deformable material by alternating the insertion and removal of said first and second members across the preselected surface of the deformable material.
CRAFTWORK TOOLS AND KITS
A craftwork accessory may provide a portable and/or easy-to-use tool to help users accurately and repeatedly apply stamp impressions and the like to items such as cardstock. The accessory may include a base portion, one or more elevated side portions and cover portion. The side portions may define a workspace for arranging the item. The cover portion may be movably attached to the base portion or a side portion, for example, by one or more hinges. In operation, the item and stamp may be aligned in the workspace and the cover portion may be pressed onto the stamp to stick the stamp to the cover portion. The cover may then be opened, the stamp may be inked, and the cover portion may be closed and pressed onto the item to stamp the item. The accessory may include alignment indicia on the base portion, side portions and/or cover portion to facilitate placement of the item and/or stamp. The accessory may also include fastening mechanisms, such as magnetic elements, to facilitate placement of the item and/or stamp.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EMBOSSING AND DEBOSSING METALLIC CONTAINERS
Methods and apparatus of decorating metallic containers are provided. More specifically, the present invention provides novel apparatus and methods of forming an indicia or a decorative shape on a closed end-wall of a metallic container body. A tool of one embodiment of the present invention is operable to form an indicia in a metallic sheet. A cupping apparatus can subsequently form a cup from the metallic sheet which includes the indicia. The cup can be formed into a container body by a bodymaker. In another embodiment, a tool of a bodymaker is operable to form an indicia or a decorative shape in a closed end-wall during formation of a metallic container body. The indicia or decorative shape can be formed by coining, punching, embossing, debossing, and other techniques of forming and shaping metal material from which the metallic container body is formed. In this manner, the indicia may include one or more raised portions and sunken portions in the closed end-wall. Optionally, the indicia may enhance the strength of the closed end-wall, such as to prevent or resist buckling and deformation.
Embossing Stamp, Pressing Tool and Method for Marking a Motor Vehicle Component
An embossing stamp for embossing an identifying mark on a motor vehicle component includes an embossing wheel assembly. The embossing wheel assembly can be set individually for the motor vehicle component being embossed depending on the identifying mark to be stamped. The embossing wheel assembly includes a negative representation of the identifying mark to be stamped. A transmission device is provided to transmit an identification signal characterizing the embossed identifying mark and the motor vehicle component marked with the identifying mark to a computer device external to the embossing stamp.
PRESS PLATEN FOR CREATING DEEP STRUCTURES
The disclosure relates to a press plate for creating deep structures in panel-like products, for example in wood-based boards or laminates made of resin-coated papers, composed of a metallic base body, in which strip-shaped and/or frame-like webs, which have a higher thermal conductivity than the base body, are inserted in depressions provided.
TOOL UNIT, PRESS FOR HOLDING SUCH A TOOL UNIT AND METHOD FOR A READY-TO-OPERATE ARRANGEMENT OF THE TOOL UNIT IN THE HOLDER OF THE PRESS
A tool unit 20 and a press 21, particularly an embossing press. The tool unit 20 is simply and quickly arranged in or removed from a holder 23 of the press 21 in order to carry out a quick tool change with short downtime of press 21. For this purpose the tool unit 20 comprises a first tool 45 and a second tool 46 that are arranged along a tool axis A on a tool carrier 31. By means of a tool guide device 47, the second tool 46 is movably supported in a guided manner relative to the tool carrier 31 and the first tool 45, independent from guide devices of press 21. Therefore, the tool unit 20 can be prepared and set up during the ongoing operation of press 21. If desired or necessary, the prepared tool unit 20 is exchanged against the presently used tool unit 20.
TAB PRESS AND METHOD OF MARKING INDICIA ON TAB STOCK
A method of marking indicia on tab stock used to provide tabs for use with can ends. The method comprises providing the tab stock to a tab press comprising a punch and a die. The punch comprises a set of raised features and the die comprises a respective set of recessed features such that the features cooperate to deboss said indicia on regions of the tab stock within tab forming areas that face outwardly when the tabs are attached to a tab end. The features are such that, when the press is fully closed, the spacing between at least part of each of the raised features and at least part of each of the respective recessed features is less than the thickness of the tab stock in said regions within tab forming areas.
A METHOD FOR IMPROVING YIELD STRENGTH OF A WORKPIECE, AN APPARATUS AND A WORKPIECE THEREOF
The present disclosure discloses a method for improving yield strength of one or more workpieces. The method includes positioning the one or more workpieces in a punch and die assembly and operating the punch and die assembly such that, a plurality of surface protrusions are formed on the one or more workpieces. The plurality of surface protrusions are formed by plastic deformation on the one or more workpieces, to improve yield strength of the one or more workpieces. The present disclosure also provides an apparatus to improve yield strength of the one or more workpieces. The present disclosure is configured to improve yield strength of the one or more workpieces, without altering its mechanical characteristics.
