CRAFTWORK TOOLS AND KITS
A craftwork accessory may provide a portable and/or easy-to-use tool to help users accurately and repeatedly apply stamp impressions and the like to items such as cardstock. The accessory may include a base portion, one or more elevated side portions and cover portion. The side portions may define a workspace for arranging the item. The cover portion may be movably attached to the base portion or a side portion, for example, by one or more hinges. In operation, the item and stamp may be aligned in the workspace and the cover portion may be pressed onto the stamp to stick the stamp to the cover portion. The cover may then be opened, the stamp may be inked, and the cover portion may be closed and pressed onto the item to stamp the item. The accessory may include alignment indicia on the base portion, side portions and/or cover portion to facilitate placement of the item and/or stamp. The accessory may also include fastening mechanisms, such as magnetic elements, to facilitate placement of the item and/or stamp.
Swaging tool forming a stamp, and associated stamping process
A swaging tool (1) forming a stamp, including a lower unit (2) and an upper unit, the lower unit (2) forming a bed to receive the metal movement-blank (12), the upper unit (4) being equipped with an upper die, to swage the metal movement-blank (12) in place in the bed of the lower unit (2), and mounted movable along a movement axis. The lower unit (2) includes a pliers (14) equipped with two arms (16A2, 16B2) mounted movable, in a perpendicular plane to said movement axis, between an opening position and a closing position wherein the two arms are moved closer together and then defining a part of said bed for receiving the metal movement-blank (12) and, between them, an opening (18), the dimensions of which are less than the corresponding dimensions of an upper part (12A) and a lower part of the metal movement-blank (12).
Sheet material forming
A formed sheet metal material and methods, tools and apparatus for forming the sheet metal material in which a pattern of projections and depressions are cold worked in a first portion and, simultaneously, indicia is embossed in a second portion of the sheet material. The cold worked portion is formed with the projections and depressions configured and distributed such that lines drawn on a surface of the formed sheet material between adjacent rows of projections and depressions are not rectilinear. The indicia is indicative of the alignment between the tools.
Pressing tool and method for producing a press plate
A pressing tool for producing a workpiece having a pressing surface. The pressing tool comprises a base structure and at least two ceramic layers which are arranged on the surface and form the pressing surface, of which a first ceramic layer has a first degree of gloss, and a second ceramic layer has a second degree of gloss, which differs from the first degree of gloss of the first ceramic layer.
Flat embossing printing machine with a foil web guidance and transport device
A flat embossed printing machine for embossing a flat material includes a flatbed press having a tool plate and an embossing table, a foil web guidance and transport device for guiding at least one embossing foil web over the embossing table of the flatbed press along a foil transport path, a flat material guidance for guiding a flat material through the flatbed press along a flat material transport path, and a control device for operating the flat embossed printing machine. The foil web guidance and transport device subsequently to the flatbed press considered in the transport direction of the flat material includes a peel-away element, arranged above the flat material transport path as well as behind the foil transport path, for holding back and peeling the embossing foil web away from the flat material on transporting the flat material away out of the flatbed press.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING A CALIBRATED STAMPED PART
A method for producing a calibrated stamped part for use in the production of embossed products, in particular coins, from a flat, in particular rolled or drawn, stamped part (1), comprises the following steps:a positioning step a), in which the flat stamped part (1) is positioned between an upper punch surface (4) and a lower punch surface (5), a contact step b), after which the two punch surfaces (4, 5) are in contact with the flat stamped part (1), a calibration step c), in which the flat stamped part (1) is plastically deformed until a predefined distance (A) is reached between the punch surfaces (4, 5), with material of the flat stamped part (1) being displaced laterally, and at least one severing step d), in which the laterally protruding material (10) of the flat stamped part (1) is severed.
