Process for the manufacturing of surface elements
Surface elements comprising a decorative upper layer and a supporting core are disclosed. In such surface elements the decorative upper layer can comprise a digitally applied wood grain pattern made up of at least four colors, said pattern being applied to an underlying white ground coating provided on said supporting core, said pattern comprising at least one of visually simulated knots, cracks, flaws and grain. In such surface elements the decorative upper layer can further comprise an at least partly translucent wear layer arranged over said pattern, said wear layer consisting of a cured substance comprising silicon oxide. In such surface elements the decorative upper layer can further be provided with a surface structure increasing the realism of said wood grain pattern, being directed in accordance with the direction of said pattern and being in the form of narrow elongated recesses simulating the pores of wood.

Expandable package filler or ornament
An expandable package filler or ornament includes a stack of sheets, such as tissue paper, foil, etc. The stack is bound together, such as by a fastener. A generally spiral cut extends from a peripheral edge of the stack toward the center of the each sheet. The cut forms each sheet into a generally spiral strip ending in a peninsula portion. Grasping the peninsula portion, lifting and shaking the stack causes the strips to fall and entangle with each other. The resulting structure is decorative and may be used to stuff a gift box, bag or basket.
MARQUETRY TEMPLATE AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The presently disclosed subject matter relates generally to a marquetry template and methods of use thereof for creating a marquetry artwork. The marquetry template comprises an up to scale design. The design comprises design elements which are partly pre-cut and a user can easily cut them completely out of the template, thus creating cutouts and openings in the template. The cutouts, and/or openings, are used to produce suitably-sized pieces of material to be fitted in the openings of the template, thus creating a marquetry artwork.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL APPLIQUE EFFECT
Methods according to the present disclosure include creating a three-dimensional effect, for example, an applique effect, that allows for the effect to be more integrated with the object to which it is added than in conventional methods. These methods can include adding the effect or applique on a surface of an object with the object sandwiched between the applique and a structure-imparting material, allowing the applique and the object it is on to move more freely and in unison together. The three-dimensional applique can be formed by applying force to the object on a side opposite to the applique such that indentations and protrusions are formed in the layered structure of the object and structure-imparting material, providing a three dimensional applique image. In other embodiments, an applique configuration may be provided separately from the object to which it is eventually to be applied.
FORMING A NON-PLANAR COMPOSITE
Examples are disclosed that relate to composites and methods for forming non-planar composites. In one example, a method comprises: providing a first non-planar metallic skin and a second non-planar metallic skin, providing a substantially planar polymer core between the first non-planar metallic skin and the second non-planar metallic skin, and using the first non-planar metallic skin and the second non-planar metallic skin (1) to deform the core between the first non-planar metallic skin and the second non-planar metallic skin and (2) to bond the core to one or more of the first non-planar metallic skin and the second non-planar metallic skin.
Floor panel, as well as method, device and accessories for manufacturing such floor panel
A floor panel has a rectangular shape and an upper surface. The floor panel includes a substrate and a top layer provided on the substrate. The top layer is made on the basis of synthetic material extending over a substantial part of the upper surface. The top layer includes a printed decor extending over a substantial part of the upper surface. The substrate has at least two opposite edges, with the edges being provided with coupling parts. The upper surface, at one or more edges, shows a sloping edge portion sloping down to the respective edge. The sloping edge portion, viewed according to a cross-section transverse to the respective edge, has a shape and/or angle varying in function of the longitudinal direction of the respective edge.

Device and method for manufacturing emblem with incorporated IC chip
A device and a method for manufacturing an emblem of thermoplastic synthetic resin with an incorporated IC chip by high frequency dielectric heating without damaging the IC chip, the device including: an upper metal mold having with a fusion cutting blade; a support frame along the perimeter and upper surface of the table; a slide board on top of the table that is slidable in axial directions relative to the table; a metal plate on the upper surface of the slide board; wherein pressing the upper layer material with the mold from above and subjecting the material to high frequency dielectric heating, the IC chip is placed in an upper position of the recessed section, then the slide board is driven to slide below the mold and subsequently the heating operation is executed without any risk of applying pressure onto the IC chip.
ORNAMENTAL LAMINATE FILM, AND POUCH-TYPE CONTAINER AND SEALING MATERIAL HAVING ORNAMENTAL LAMINATE FILM
The present invention relates to an ornamental laminate film made from at least an inside film and an outside film, provided with a letter and/or a pattern by printing and as a raised part protruding toward the outside film. At least apart of the letter and/or the pattern has a metallic luster and differs in at least one of hue, brightness, chroma and glossiness from a region other than the letter and/or the pattern, and the raised part is formed along at least a part of the letter and/or the pattern. As a result of that, an ornamental laminate film with excellent design is provided without impairing its function as a packaging material.
