Expert system and method for computing an adjustment procedure for obtaining an adjusted exterior waterborne paint composition for an exterior surface to be painted at a paint application site on a specific date. A starting exterior waterborne paint composition comprises base chemical compounds. When one or more computed target values of target chemical compounds for the adjusted exterior waterborne paint composition are determined different from the plurality of base values, the adjustment procedure is computed for transforming the starting exterior waterborne paint composition into the adjusted exterior paint composition and instructions comprising the adjustment procedure are sent to a remote device.

The problem addressed of providing a method for producing a decorative combination, for which the matching of said combination with respect to a change of illuminant is further simplified, is solved by a method including the steps: carrying out colorimetric measurements, under at least two different illuminants, on a first decorative element of a first fixture; determining a reference colour change of the first decorative element when the change between the at least two different illuminants is made; printing a second decorative element onto a second fixture, a selection and/or combination of inks for the printing process being carried out on the basis of a colour change of the inks under a change of illuminant, such that a colour change of the second decorative element under the change of the at least two different illuminants is compared to the reference colour change. The invention also relates to a system, in particular for carrying out a method according to the invention, the system including a colorimeter, a printer and a control device.

Systems and methods for color selection are provided. A user device displays room types on a display, receives a room type selection indicating a particular room type, displays phrases having words associated with types of feelings, and receives a phrase selection indicating a particular phrase. The user device accesses a lookup table that associates the room types and phrase with paint colors such that each possible combination of room type and phrase is associated with a subset of paint colors. The user device determines the associated subset of paint colors in the lookup table for the combination of the particular room type and the particular phrase and displays the associated subset of paint colors as recommended paint colors for the combination of the particular room type and the particular phrase on the display of the user device.

In some embodiments of the present disclosure, one or more machine learning models are trained to accurately estimate skin color in one or more images regardless of the lighting conditions. In some embodiments, the models can then be used to estimate a skin color in a new image, and that estimated skin color can be used for a variety of purposes. For example, the skin color may be used to generate a recommendation for a foundation shade that accurately matches the skin color, or a recommendation for another cosmetic product that is complimentary with the estimated skin color. Thus, the need for an in-person test of the product is eliminated.

The top layer is positioned on top of the gloss layer so that the at least one color chip is visible through the at least one window. The method includes altering the digital image by adjusting a color of one or more portions of the digital image to correlate the color of the one or more portions to a color gamut of a xerographic printing process to form a color-adjusted digital image. The method includes printing the color-adjusted digital image to a substrate using a xerographic printing process to form the wood stain display sample. The printing includes printing an underlay toner to the substrate. The underlay toner includes a white or a transparent color. The printing includes printing a yellow, magenta, cyan, and black toner over the underlay toner. The printing includes printing an overlay toner to the black toner.
