DISPLAY SUBSTRATE, DISPLAY PANEL, AND DISPLAY METHOD
A display substrate, a display panel and a display method are provided. The display substrate includes a display layer, a plurality of optical layer formation units and a spacer layer. The display layer includes a plurality of pixel regions, and each of the plurality of pixel regions includes a plurality of color sub-pixel openings emitting color light of different colors. The plurality of optical layer formation units are stacked with the display layer. The spacer layer is between the display layer and the plurality of optical layer formation units for spacing the display layer from the plurality of optical layer formation units. The plurality of optical layer formation units are configured to form a transparent optical layer on a side, which is away from the display layer, of the spacer layer, and the transparent optical layer is configured to make a display image have visual roughness.
Bristle brush sensors
A stylus brush for creating paintbrush-like digital effects using a digitizer. The stylus brush includes sensing filaments. The sensing filaments include a conductor extending the length of the filament, wherein the conductor transmits light or current along the length of the filament; a cladding or insulator juxtaposed against the conductor; and a means for changing a light or electrical property passing through the conductor when the filament bends along the length as compared to the light or electrical property of the filament in a nonbent condition, wherein the filament has a width not more than 1 mm and length not more than 10 cm.
Method for evaluating the authenticity of a painting as well as a corresponding use
A method is provided for evaluating the authenticity of a painting which includes providing (10) a collection of a plurality of original paintings by a certain artist and creating (20) at least one digital image of each original painting from the collection of plurality of original paintings; detecting (30) classification data for each one of the digital images of each original painting of the collection using the WND-CHARM method, wherein the classification data a reference data record of classification data for original paintings by the artist; providing (40) an additional painting and creating (50) at least one digital image of the additional painting; detecting (60) additional classification data for the digital image of the additional painting using the WND-CHARM method and comparing (70) the additional classification data with the reference data record of classification data for original paintings, wherein on reaching or exceeding a minimum correspondence between the additional classification data and the reference data record, it is concluded that the painting is an original painting by the artist and otherwise it is a counterfeit.

Printed Frame and Artwork with Depth Indicia
A display for mounting in a location subject to subject-sensitive ambient lighting includes a substrate. An artwork image, a molding image and a shadow image are printed on the substrate. A gap area is defined between an inside edge of the molding image and an outside edge of the artwork image so as to appear as a floater frame. The shadow image appears as an actual shadow in a real floater frame that has been subject to the subject-sensitive ambient lighting. The substrate is mounted on a stretcher bar frame. In a method of generating a display, a digital image of a molding assembled into a floater frame, an artwork, and a shadow that would appear in a real floater frame that has been subject to the subject-sensitive ambient lighting is generated. The digital image is printed onto a substrate. The substrate is mounted onto a stretcher bar frame.
Printed Frame Image on Artwork
In a method of generating a print, an image of at least one work of art is scanned, thereby generating an artwork digital image. An image of at least one frame molding is scanned, thereby generating a molding digital image. An image of at least one matte is scanned, thereby generating a matte digital image. The artwork digital image, either scanned, imported or sourced from elsewhere, is combined with the molding digital image, and/or mat digital image, either scanned, imported, or sourced from elsewhere, thereby generating a combined image of the work of art surrounded by a frame made of the molding and/or matte. The combined image is printed onto a substrate. A system for generating printed artwork includes a scanner that is configured to scan works of art, mattes and moldings. A computer combines a digital artwork image with a digital molding and/or matte image, thereby generating a combined digital image that include an image of one of the works of art surrounded by an image of a frame made from one or multiple moldings and/or mattes. A printer prints the combined digital image onto a selected substrate.
Method for manufacturing image display
An image display including an image substrate and a support structure. The image substrate has an image printed on a first surface. The support structure can include a front sheet and a plurality of side strips extending from the front sheet. The image substrate can be adhered to an external surface of the front sheet so that the front sheet forms a rigid backing for the image substrate. A variety of image substrates are provided.

Image display with leather image substrate
An image display including an image substrate and a support structure. The image substrate includes a layer of leather material and has an image printed on a first surface. The support structure can include a front sheet, a back sheet and a plurality of side strips secured between the front sheet and the back sheet for forming a closed support structure. The image substrate can overlie an external surface of the front sheet so that the front sheet forms a rigid backing for the image substrate.
