A locking device for locking a wheel of a vehicle is provided, where the device comprising a main module adapted to be attached to a rim of the wheel and configured to cover nuts or bolts that attach the wheel to the vehicle, a tubular center bolt having a threated outer surface and configured to adapt a lock cylinder, the tubular center bolt being further adapted to be connected to the main module via an insert sleeve; and at least one threaded element permanently assembled within a center bore or behind the rim; wherein the tubular center bolt is configured to be threadedly attached to the at least one threaded element to attach the locking device onto the wheel, and wherein the lock cylinder is configured to be arranged in a locking state within the center bolt in which the center bolt is prevented from rotating relative to the main module and the at least one threaded element, and in an open state in which the lock cylinder allows the center bolt to rotate relative to the main module and the at least one threaded element.

An improved wheel cover for large commercial vehicle trailers is disclosed. It includes simple and robust mechanism for attachment with the wheel, facilitates easy installation and removal, and provides better aerodynamics and fuel efficiency during travel. In a preferred embodiment, an annular flexible shell cover (covering an annular magnet) of the wheel cover, deforms and frictionally fits into hollow of a corresponding wheel flange, and the annular magnet (lying under the shell cover) keeps the shell cover magnetically attached (with a strong magnetic bonding) with the flange. Hence, in addition to the magnetic bonding, the installed wheel cover is held in place by a friction fitting between the shell cover and the flange. The outer side of the wheel cover can either be kept planar or curved, and its surface can be dimpled or smooth.

A protector for a wheel is formed from a plurality of segments. Each segment is formed from a synthetic material and has an arcuate distal edge of a first radius, the distal edge forming a lip to engage a distal edge of the wheel. Each segment has at least two spoke adjacent edges and an arcuate proximal edge with a second radius less than the first radius. In some embodiments, the proximal edge defines a hook to engage an inner recess of the wheel. Each spoke adjacent edge is configured to reside near a spoke of the wheel during use.
