The first panel is configured to overlay the sole of the article of footwear, positioning the adhesive to bind to debris that is adhering to the sole so that the debris is removed from the sole as the first panel is peeled from the sole.

Disclosed is a method comprising: inserting a chemical disinfectant into a steaming apparatus; placing an object onto the steaming apparatus; activating the steaming apparatus; and sanitizing the object using a combination of the chemical disinfectant and steam.
