FACE TO RIM REINFORCING CONNECTOR OF A COMPOSITE WHEEL
A spoke-to-rim reinforcing connector of a composite wheel. The composite wheel has a rim portion with a complementary rim fibre layup and a circumferential axis, and a face portion with a hub and spokes interconnecting the rim portion and the hub, each spoke having a complementary spoke fibre layup. The spoke-to-rim reinforcing connector comprises at least one spoke saddle and at least two rim tabs. The spoke saddle has a seat portion extending around an end portion, about the spoke axis, and over a face surface of the spoke fibre layup, and at least two spoke legs that extend over the sides of the spoke fibre layup. Each rim tab extends from a spoke leg perpendicularly to the spoke axis and is configured to be incorporated into the rim fibre layup. The connector has a continuous body having a fibre orientation extending perpendicular to the spoke axis.
BICYCLE WHEEL ASSEMBLY STRUCTURE
A bicycle wheel assembly structure includes an annular rim, a hub, nipples, and spokes. The annular rim includes rim penetration sections, each of which includes a rim-side limiting part. The hub is arranged at a center of the annular rim and includes hub penetration sections. The nipples each include a thread-connecting section and a nipple limiting part. The nipples are arranged on the rim penetration sections, and the nipple limiting parts are mounted to the rim-side limiting parts. The spokes include an intermediate section, a head section, and a thread section. The head sections are mounted to the hub penetration sections. The thread sections are connected to the thread-connecting sections of the nipples. The spokes, when set between the annular rim and the hub, induce tensions that cooperate with static frictional forces at the rim-side limiting parts and the nipple limiting parts resist sliding and prevent loosening of the spokes.
Wheel with an intelligent suspension system
A wheel with an intelligent suspension system that includes a hub, a rim and a set of spokes with dynamically adjustable spoke lengths. Further included is one or more sensors associated with at least the hub and the rim and a microcontroller unit (MCU) that receives sensory signals from the one or more sensors, and transmits control signals to the set of spokes to dynamically control spoke lengths of the set of spokes.

Wheel assembly
A wheel assembly includes a central hub, an outer rim including a spoke bed wall, and a spoke unit including first and second spokes. Each of the first and second spokes extends between the outer rim and the central hub, and has a first end connected to the spoke bed wall, a second end opposite to the first end and connected to the central hub and a span portion connected between the first and second ends. The first ends of the first and second spokes are respectively formed with first and second spoke bed connection portions where the first and second spokes are respectively connected to the spoke bed wall. With respect to the central hub, the second spoke bed connection portion is radially outboard relative to and circumferentially spaced from the first spoke bed connection portion.
Wheel with high strength flexible spokes
A wheel with high strength flexible spokes of the present invention, including a rim and hub, and spokes between the rim and hub made of fibrous material that causes the spokes to be both lighter in weight and stronger than comparable steel spokes. The spokes are also flexible and resilient such that they can bend while retaining their integrity and strength. The wheel includes a nipple within the rim that receives the high strength spoke and allows for flexibility in adapting the spoke to wheels having differing shapes and sizes.

VEHICLE WHEEL RIM
A rim for a vehicle wheel, including: an axial axis; a radial axis; a spoke bed wall having an outboard surface, an inboard surface, and a radial thickness; a spoke hole to receive a spoke having an outboard opening and a spoke hole axis. At least one of the inboard surface and outboard surface is radially variable to provide a first radial thickness region laterally surrounding said spoke hole and a second radial thickness region of reduced radial thickness relative to the first radial thickness region. The outboard surface includes a radially inwardly recessed surface within the first radial thickness region. At least a portion of the recessed surface is configured to provide a bearing surface for engagement with the spoke and to support of spoke tension forces.
Bicycle wheel rim and process for manufacturing the same
A bicycle wheel rim, comprising a wall made of composite material having a plurality of perforated spoke-attachment seats, wherein each perforated seat is delimited by at least one first area comprising an amassment of continuous structural fibers and at least one second area circumferentially spaced apart from said first area and comprising cut structural fibers. A process for manufacturing the aforementioned rim is also disclosed.
