ELECTRICALLY DRIVEABLE STEERING AXLE AND VEHICLE
The invention relates to an electrically drivable steering axle (10) having an axle housing (11), an electric motor (12), a transmission (13), a differential (14) with a first output shaft (18) and a second output shaft (18′), a first wheel head (15), a second wheel head (16) and a steering linkage (17, 17′, 17″). The electric motor (12) is drive-connected to the first wheel head (15) and to the second wheel head (16) via the transmission (13) and the differential (14). The steering axle (10) according to the invention is distinguished by the fact that the electric motor (12), the transmission (13), and the differential (14) are arranged coaxially with the first output shaft (18) and the second output shaft (18′). The invention additionally relates to a corresponding vehicle.
Front axle beam and production method thereof
In a pressing step, a first forged product is pressed by a first die, and thereby, a second forged product including a rough flange having a thickness-changing portion is produced. The thickness-changing portion includes a front part protruding frontward from a side of a rough web part and a rear part protruding rearward from the side of the rough web part. Each of the front part and the rear part includes a first part, and a second part that is thicker than the first part and is located farther from the rough web part than the first part. In the pressing step, at least a part of the rough flange that is above or below the web part (thick part) is pressed by the first die, whereby the material of the first forged product in the part is caused to flow frontward and rearward, and the thickness-changing portion is formed.
Front axle beam and production method thereof
The production method disclosed is a method for producing a front axle beam. The production method includes a die forging step and a bending step. The die forging step is a step of forging a steel material with dies to produce a forged product including a rough web part, which is to be formed into a web part, and four plate-shaped rough flange parts protruding frontward and rearward from an upper side and a lower side of the rough web part, respectively. The bending step is a step of pressing at least one specified rough flange part, which is at least one of the four rough flange parts, with a first die to form a bent portion in the specified rough flange part such that the bent portion is bent inward in an up-down direction of the forged product.
Steering Knuckle of a Utility Vehicle
A steering knuckle of a utility vehicle, composed of a cast material, has a main body, a steering knuckle bearing, a hub-type, cup-shaped receiving portion, open towards a rim of a vehicle wheel and suitable for receiving an anti-friction bearing and a bearing journal, and a pad-receiving portion for receiving a brake pad. The pad receiving portion has a support and two supporting elements provided one behind the other in the rotational direction of the vehicle wheel. A control arm attachment for linking an axle guide is formed on the main body.
WHEEL-DRIVE ASSEMBLY
A wheel drive assembly for transferring propelling torque from a source shaft to a wheel, the source shaft receiving torque from a motion actuator. The wheel drive assembly includes a wheel-hub, adapted to have the wheel mounted thereon, the wheel-hub being arranged about a longitudinal axis, which is adapted to coincide with a rotation axis of the wheel. The wheel drive assembly further includes a drive axle and a constant velocity (CV) joint mounted onto an outer end of the drive axle. The CV joint connects the drive axle to the wheel-hub. An outermost surface of the CV joint is disposed outwardly of an outermost surface of the wheel hub, along the longitudinal axis of the wheel-hub.
VEHICLE HAVING A TILTING AXLE AND RELATED METHODS
A vehicle includes a chassis, an axle pivotally coupled to the chassis such that the axle can tilt from side to side relative to the chassis, a tilt-angle sensor configured to detect a tilt angle of the axle relative to the chassis, and steerable hubs carried by the axle. Each hub is configured to rotate about steering axes relative to the axle, and a steering-angle sensor is configured to detect a steering angle of at least one hub relative to the axle. A control system limits a maximum steering angle of the hubs based at least in part on a size of tires or tracks carried by the steerable hubs and the detected tilt angle of the axle. A method includes detecting a tilt angle of the axle relative to the chassis and limiting the maximum steering angle of the hubs.
Adjustable wheel track axle with independent wheel angle control for an agricultural vehicle
A system to simultaneously adjust a wheel track axle width and a steering angle of an agricultural vehicle made of: an at least two variable axle assemblies, each one of the variable axle assemblies connected to a wheel set of the agricultural vehicle is provided. During the wheel track axle adjustment process of a variable wheel track axle machine the angle of each wheel is “toed-in” or toed-our depending on wheel track extension or retraction. When the wheel track axle of the machine is being extended, all wheels are commanded to “toe-out” 3 degrees to aid in the extension and reduce external forces on the wheel and axle system. When the wheel track axle of the machine is being retracted, all wheels are commanded to “toe-out” 3 degrees to aid in the retraction and reduce external forces on the wheel and axle system. Once the wheel track axle adjustment is complete all wheels return to 0 degrees for normal operation.
Wheel support for a motor vehicle
A wheel support for a motor vehicle, including a main part and a track lever extending from the main part for attaching a track rod via a track rod joint, wherein the track rod joint is fixed or can be fixed to the track lever at an attachment point by a pin on one side of the track lever. A holding protrusion which covers the attachment point forms a securing means for the track rod on the wheel support. The disclosure additionally relates to a method for mounting a wheel support for a motor vehicle.
