BICYCLE WHEEL AXLE
20190217917 · 2019-07-18 ·

A bicycle frame (2) comprising at least one fork (4, 10) with opposite first and second blades (11, 12), and a wheel hub (90) received between the opposite first and second blades (11, 12). The wheel hub comprises an axial duct (15) for receiving a through axle (25) in axial direction there through. A first end part (210) of the through axle (25) is provided for connection to the first blade (11) by means of a first fastening member (30), and a second end part (310) of the through axle (25) opposite the first end part is provided for connection to the second blade (11) by means of a second fastening member (40).

Vehicle with axle suspension

A vehicle includes a support structure and a suspension for an oscillatingly supported, rigid axle body. The suspension has a suspension device which is located between the axle body and the support structure and acts in a height direction of the vehicle. The vehicle further includes a plurality of coupling sites and a transverse link extending in a transverse direction of the vehicle. The transverse link is coupled to the support structure via a first link area and via a second link area and a pendulum support to the axle body. The transverse link includes a third link area which, with reference to the pendulum support in the transverse direction of the vehicle, is located opposite the first link area and is flexibly connected with a coupling site of the suspension device.

Apparatus for mounting an air disc brake actuator

An air disc brake system for a heavy-duty vehicle comprising an axle. A spindle is attached to an end portion of the axle. At least a portion of an air disc brake assembly is supported by the spindle. A suspension beam has an axle support portion connectable with the axle. An end portion of the suspension beam is spaced from the axle support portion for attachment with the heavy-duty vehicle. The suspension beam may pivot about the end portion of the suspension beam. An actuator actuates the air disc brake assembly. The actuator has a movable member to actuate the air disc brake assembly. Structure is associated with the suspension beam for supporting at least a portion of the actuator. A surface defines an opening in the suspension beam through which the movable member may extend or that may receive and support a portion of the actuator.

REAR WHEEL FIXING MECHANISM FOR A BICYCLE
20190184741 · 2019-06-20 · ·

A rear wheel fixing mechanism for a bicycle is provided that includes an axle, a rear hub body, and a first clamp. The rear hub body is rotatably mounted around the axle about a rotational center axis. The first clamp is configured to exert a first clamping force in a perpendicular direction with respect to the rotational center axis onto a first clamping portion of the axle to mount the axle on a frame of the bicycle.

Wheel To Axle Securement System
20190168540 · 2019-06-06 ·

A wheel to axle securement system (WASS) that facilitates securing a vehicle wheel to an axle, or removal of a vehicle wheel from an axle. The WASS includes a wheel hub with a centered opening, an axle, and a quick release ball lock pin that is dimensioned to be inserted into an axle insert within the axle. The wheel hub is placed onto the axle through the opening such that the axle end is adjacent an outer surface of the hub. The lock pin has at least two balls that extend from or retract into the pin's shaft. A button on the pin actuates an internal assembly. When the button is released, the balls extend outward. Once the hub is on the axle, the pin button is depressed and the pin is inserted into the axle insert. When the button is released the balls are located adjacent and in contact with the end of the axle insert, which functions as a barrier that precludes the pin from being removed from the insert. Once the pin is in place, the hub is secured onto the axle.

DROPOUT ASSEMBLY

A dropout assembly comprises a first dropout that includes a first through hole configured to receive an axle for a bicycle wheel. The dropout assembly also comprises a second dropout that includes a second through hole and a mounting surface. The second through hole is configured to receive the axle for the bicycle wheel. The dropout assembly also includes a rotational control mechanism that is configured to mount to the mounting surface of the second dropout. The rotational control mechanism includes a nut and a nut cover.

Quick release device
10293638 · 2019-05-21 · ·

A quick release device for at least partially muscle-powered two-wheeled vehicles, having an axle unit and a clamping mechanism. The axle unit includes an axle extending in the axial direction, a locking device at the first end of the axle unit and a fastener at a second end of the axle unit. The clamping mechanism is suitable for mounting and demounting the axle unit to a two-wheeled vehicle. The clamping mechanism has an operating lever and a clamping component, the latter is non-rotatably coupled with the axle unit and is decoupled from the axle unit. The clamping mechanism has an intermediate device with an actuating unit, which ensures in a first position a non-rotatable connection of the clamping component and the operating lever, and in a second position, allows the operating lever to pivot relative to the clamping component while the clamping component is non-rotatably coupled with the axle unit.
