Functionalized Elastomeric Polymer Compositions, Their Preparation Methods and Crosslinked Rubber Compositions Thereof
The invention relates to an elastomeric polymer composition and its preparation. The polymer composition includes, in combination, a single terminally modified conjugated diene (co)polymer and a dual terminally modified conjugated diene (co)polymer. The polymer composition is useful in the preparation of a vulcanized and, thus, crosslinked elastomeric composition having relatively low hysteresis loss, good grip and low heat build-up properties.
Amino Alkoxy-Modified Silsesquioxane Adhesives For Adhering Steel Alloy To Rubber
A coated wire includes a steel alloy coated with a coating comprising one or more amino alkoxy-modified silsesquioxane compounds selected from the group consisting of an amino alkoxy-modified silsesquioxane, an amino/mercaptan co-alkoxy-modified silsesquioxane, an amino/blocked mercaptan co-alkoxy-modified silsesquioxane, or a salt of one or more thereof. A rubber composition and a process for coating wire is also disclosed.
TIRE
The present disclosure provides a tire having excellent durability during high speed running. A tire including a sidewall portion including a thermoplastic elastomer composition having a specific heat capacity of 1.7 J/ (g .Math.K) or less, the tire having a depression with a depth of 0.2 to 3.0 mm and/or a projection with a height of 0.2 to 3.0 mm between the tread ground contact edge and the tire maximum width position of the sidewall portion.
Sliding elastic body
Provided are a sliding elastic body capable of imparting excellent sliding properties and resistance to protein adsorption and, at the same time, maintaining sealing properties; and a syringe gasket, a catheter, and a tire which include the sliding elastic body. The present invention relates to a sliding elastic body including an elastic body whose surface is fully or partially laminated with a fluororesin film, the laminated elastic body being treated with a fluorinated oil.
RUBBER COMPOSITION AND TIRE
A rubber composition according to an embodiment contains a diene rubber and silica. A change rate of a distance between aggregates represented by V50/V0 calculated by an inertia radius V50 of a silica aggregate and an inertia radius V0 of the silica aggregate is 1.30 or more. The inertia radius V50 is obtained by performing a small-angle X-ray scattering measurement in a state where a vulcanized rubber obtained by vulcanizing the rubber composition is elongated by 50%, and the inertia radius V0 is obtained by performing a small-angle X-ray scattering measurement in a state where the vulcanized rubber is not elongated.
RUBBER COMPOSITION AND PNEUMATIC TIRE USING SAME
An object of the invention is to provide a rubber composition having excellent durability while maintaining a low fuel cost, and a pneumatic tire using the rubber composition. A rubber composition contains silica in a diene rubber. A deformation amount of a rubber component in a sample obtained by vulcanizing the rubber composition when the sample is elongated by 200% is obtained by a force curve measurement with an atomic force microscope, and a ratio of a rubber component having a deformation amount smaller than a weighted average value thereof is 70 vol % or more in the rubber component.
RUBBER COMPOSITION AND TIRE
A rubber composition according to an embodiment contains a diene rubber and silica. A value Dm/Rg obtained by dividing a mass fractal dimension Dm of a silica aggregate by an inertia radius Rg of the silica aggregate is 0.20 nm.sup.−1 or more, the inertia radius Rg being obtained by irradiating a vulcanized rubber obtained by vulcanizing the rubber composition with X-rays to perform a small-angle X-ray scattering measurement, and the mass fractal dimension Dm being obtained by irradiating the vulcanized rubber with X-rays to perform an ultra-small angle X-ray scattering measurement.
TIRE SIDEWALL
A tire sidewall, having a rubber composition based on at least a blend of polyisoprene, natural rubber or synthetic polyisoprene, and polybutadiene BR, a reinforcing filler comprising carbon black and silica, and a crosslinking system is provided. The reinforcing filler predominantly comprises silica, that the content of silica ranges from 20 to 40 parts per hundred parts of elastomer, phr, and the content of carbon black is less than or equal to 5 phr and that the total content of reinforcing filler is less than or equal to 45 phr.
TIRE SIDEWALLS INCLUDING HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT WAXES
A tire sidewall comprising a vulcanized rubber and a high molecular weight wax.
Rubber Member, Tire, and Method of Manufacturing Rubber Member
A method of manufacturing a rubber member includes forming a mask on which pattern structures are arranged at a constant pitch, arranging the mask on a substrate of a mold made of a metal or a semiconductor material and etching the substrate. The method further includes adhering unvulcanized rubber to the substrate, vulcanizing the unvulcanized rubber to form vulcanized rubber, and transferring a fine ridged/grooved structure to a surface of the vulcanized rubber. The fine ridged/grooved structure is formed on at least a part of the surface of the vulcanized rubber as the rubber member, the fine ridged/grooved structure having fine ridged/grooved portions arranged at the constant pitch. A region in which the fine ridged/grooved structure is provided is visually recognizable by a structural color different from colors of other regions.
