COMPOUND FOR BODY PLY SKIM
A rubber compound for body ply skim comprising: —a mix of rubber consisting of (i) Epoxidized Natural Rubber acting as polymer base with a cross-linkable unsaturated chain; (ii) Natural Rubber acting as polymer base with a cross-linkable unsaturated chain; (iii) Polyepihalohydrin rubber, —a filler material, and—a vulcanization system; The compound comprises: 70 to 90 phr of said Polyepihalohydrin rubber; 5 to 25 phr of said Epoxidized Natural Rubber (E-NR); and 5 to 25 phr of said Natural Rubber (NR); the phr ratio between E-NR and NR ranging from 0.2 to 5.0.

The present invention relates to an aqueous dipping composition for coating a textile reinforcing material, comprising 4% to 50% by dry weight of at least one rubber latex, 0.1% to 4.5% by dry weight of at least one blocked isocyanate, 0.02% to 20% by dry weight of at least one filler, 0.2% to 4% by dry weight of at least one epoxy group-containing compound, and 0.1% to 2% by dry weight of at least one polymer with carboxylic acid functional groups, wherein the amounts in % by dry weight are based on the total weight of the aqueous dipping composition. The composition is essentially free of resorcinol, resorcinol precondensates, formaldehyde and formaldehyde-releasing substances. The present invention relates to a use of such a composition, a process for coating a textile reinforcing material with this composition, a coated textile reinforcing material and a respective elastomeric article comprising the same.

A rubber-steel cord composite according to an embodiment is formed by vulcanizing and bonding a rubber composition containing 1 to 10 parts by mass of sulfur, 0.1 to 5 parts by mass of N,N-dibenzylbenzothiazole-2-sulfenamide, and 0.1 to 5 parts by mass of either one or both of hexamethylene bis-thiosulfate disodium salt dihydrate and 1,6-bis(N,N-dibenzylthiocarbamoyldithio)hexane, with respect to 100 parts by mass of diene rubber containing natural rubber, and a steel cord. A pneumatic tire according to an embodiment includes the rubber-steel cord composite.
