Provided are: an elastomer-metal cord composite which can improve various performance of a tire, such as steering stability, corrosion propagation resistance, and belt layer separation resistance; and a tire including the same. In an elastomer-metal cord composite (10), a metal cord (2) composed of a bundle of plural metal filaments (1) that are arranged in a single row without being twisted together is coated with an elastomer (3). A gap is provided between adjacent metal filaments, and when the diameter of the metal filaments is defined as D (mm), a gap amount, which is a distance between the surfaces of the adjacent metal filaments that is measured in a direction orthogonal to an extending direction of the metal cord, is defined as G (mm), and the number of metal filaments constituting the metal cord is defined as N (filaments), the elastomer-metal cord composite (10) satisfies a relationship expressed by the following Formula (1): 0.45≤[(D/2).sup.2×π×N]/{D×[D×N+G×(N−1)]}≤0.77 (1) wherein, D and G>0, and N is an integer.

PROCESS FOR REGENERATING A MONOLITHIC, MACRO-STRUCTURAL, INTER-PENETRATING ELASTOMER NETWORK MORPHOLOGY FROM GROUND TIRE RUBBER PARTICLES

Crumb rubber obtained from recycled tires is subjected to an interlinked substitution process. The process utilizes a reactive component that interferes with sulfur bonds. The resulting treated rubber exhibits properties similar to those of the virgin composite rubber structure prior to being granulated, and is suitable for use in fabricating new tires, engineered rubber articles, and asphalt rubber for use in waterproofing and paving applications.

RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR NON-PNEUMATIC SUPPORT COMPONENTS
20230271450 · 2023-08-31 ·

A non-pneumatic tire includes an annular inner ring, an annular outer ring, and a support structure positioned between the annular inner ring to the annular outer ring. The support structure includes a multilayer structure of a rubber skim layer and a cord embedded in the rubber skim layer. The rubber skim layer has resistance to ozone exposure without need for a protective layer overlying the rubber skim layer. The rubber skim layer exhibits adhesion to embedded metallic cords. Methods of making a non-pneumatic tire include forming a multilayer structure by applying a skin layer directly over one or more cords.

Tire

The bead portion of a pneumatic tire has a bead structure including a bead core having a bead cord covered with a resin material, and a bead filler continuous to the bead core and formed of the resin material and tapered outside in the tire radial direction. The bead structure has a weld line of the resin material. The weld line is formed inside in the tire radial direction more than ⅔ of the total height along the tire radial direction of the bead structure.
