The present disclosure relates to a cable bead for a pneumatic tire which constitutes a bead part of a pneumatic tire, improves rubber permeability by restricting a ratio between a diameter of a cable and a pitch of an outer wire, and improves durability of a pneumatic tire by improving rubber adhesive properties through cobalt coating on a surface of the outer wire, and a pneumatic tire having the same, and the cable bead for a pneumatic tire is characterized in that the diameter D of the cable and a pitch P of the outer wire 20 satisfy a relationship formula, P/D=25 to 45, and further characterized in that the surface of the outer wire 20 is coated with cobalt after wire drawing.

Trailering assist system with trailer angle detection

A trailering assist system for a vehicle includes a rearward facing camera disposed at a rearward portion of a vehicle equipped with the trailering assist system. The rearward facing camera is operable to capture image data representative of the scene rearward of the equipped vehicle. When a trailer is near and/or attached to the equipped vehicle and is rearward of the equipped vehicle, a processor is operable to process the captured image data and, responsive at least in part to such processing, is operable to determine a trailer angle of the trailer relative to a longitudinal axis of the equipped vehicle.

The reinforcing element (36) comprises a single strand (54) of high-modulus textile monofilaments and a single strand (56) of low-modulus textile monofilaments which are wound one around the other in a direction D3 with a twist R3, the strand (54) of high-modulus textile monofilaments having a residual twist R1 in the direction D1, the strand (56) of low-modulus textile monofilaments having a residual twist R2 in the direction D2, the residual twists R1 and R2 being such that: R1>R2 when R2 is substantially non-zero R1 is substantially non-zero when R2 is substantially zero.

IMAGING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE

An imaging system for a vehicle includes a rear backup camera and a video display screen for displaying video images derived from image data captured by the rear backup camera. The imaging system generates a backup overlay and an alignment overlay that are electronically superimposed on the displayed video images to assist a driver of the vehicle when executing a backup maneuver. The backup overlay includes a pair of side overlays superimposed on the displayed video images and the alignment overlay is superimposed on the displayed video images between the side overlays. The video display screen displays the video images and the backup overlay is generated responsive to the vehicle being shifted into reverse gear. The alignment overlay is generated responsive to a user input.

REDUCED WEIGHT AIRCRAFT TIRE

A pneumatic tire having a carcass and a belt reinforcing structure, the belt reinforcing structure comprising: a zigzag belt reinforcing structure formed of a strip of one or more reinforcement cords, the strip of one or more reinforcement cords being inclined at 5 to 30 degrees relative to the centerplane of the tire extending in alternation to turnaround points at each lateral edge, wherein the zigzag strip of cords may be formed from two different reinforcement cords made of different materials, and the lateral edges of the strip are preferably pointed or triangular in shape.

RADIAL TIRE HAVING AN IMPROVED BELT STRUCTURE

A radial tire, notably for a passenger vehicle or van, has an improved belt structure comprising a multilayer composite laminate with a first layer of rubber comprising heat-shrinkable circumferential textile reinforcers, preferably in the form of monofilaments or assemblies of monofilaments; this first layer radially (in the direction Z) surmounts two other layers of rubber, reinforced by reinforcers all or some of which are composite reinforcers made up of steel monofilaments sheathed with a thermoplastic material, the glass transition temperature of which is greater than 20 C. This laminate makes it possible to lighten the belts of tyres by reducing the thickness of the layers of rubber that make up part of their structure, and therefore to reduce the weight and rolling resistance of the tyres, without the risk of direct contact between the reinforcers.

RADIAL TIRE HAVING A VERY THIN BELT STRUCTURE

A radial tire, notably for a passenger vehicle or van, has a very thin belt structure comprising a multilayer composite laminate of specific construction, with a first layer of rubber reinforced by circumferential textile reinforcers in the form of monofilaments or assemblies of monofilaments, preferably slightly heat-shrinkable, for example made of nylon or of polyester, this first layer radially (in the direction Z) surmounting two other layers of rubber, reinforced by high-strength steel monofilaments. The mean thickness of rubber, measured in the radial direction (Z), separating a first reinforcer from the second reinforcer which is closest to it, and that separating a second reinforcer from the third reinforcer which is closest to it, are both less than or at most equal to 0.35 mm.
